• Recall 74329 [USA]: Full windshield retention may not be achieved in the event of an airbag deployment or during a vehicle crash. this increases the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
  Land rover is recalling 40 model year 2009 range rover vehicles. During the installation process it was identified that primer, applied by an automated glazing robot, was not being dispensed onto the glass. This omission can lead to the chemical bonding between the primer and the polyurethane adhesive not being activated and therefore the windshield not chemically bonded to the vehicle. Where the windshield is not chemically bonded, water could enter the vehicle and/or there may be increased wind noise.

A warning lamp and message will appear on the dash board when the fluid depletes to a certain level. Braking capability will be retained by the rear brake circuit pedal feel will be degraded and pedal travel extended. Stopping distances will increase.

  On certain vehicles, long-term exposure to high absolute humidity and temperature, combined with high temperature cycling, could eventually degrade the propellant contained in the passenger frontal airbag. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. As a result, if the vehicle were involved in a collision that warrants airbag deployment, fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants, and the airbag assembly could be damaged, preventing proper function. These issues could increase the risk of injury. Correction: dealers will replace the passenger frontal airbag module. Note: canadian climate results in the propellant degrading slowly. The recall is being conducted as a precaution to address future risk, and is expected to replace the passenger frontal airbag module before their function would be affected.

  Certain vehicles may have inadequate windshield adhesive bonding as primer failed to be applied by the automated glazing robot during vehicle assembly. This omission may result in a windshield bond that does not meet the retention requirements of cmvss 212. As a result, the windshield may not be retained during a vehicle crash, which could increase the risk of personal injury or death. Correction: dealers will inspect and, if necessary, remove the windshield and re-install it correctly.

The truck has been jumping into 3 gear at high speeds and getting stuck there.

The truck will automatically drop into 3rd gear from high speeds, drastically reducing the speed, and will not shift into another gear, and seems to reset when the engine is turned off and back on, with the problem reoccurring with greater frequency the warmer the car gets. This happens when the car is in motion above 30 mph

The automatic steering wheel tilt sometimes gets locked in the lowest down position. At that point the steering wheel can only be adjusted front to back and not up and down.

Front brake line hose failure..Brake went all the way to floor. I was stopped, put car in reverse, foot still on the brake, all the sudden my foot went to the floor. I pumped brake but still to the floor. When brake pedal was to the floor the car would stop. I know to keep pressing brake to the bottom but another driver may not and have no brakes. Car is at the dealer right now getting it replaced. Having worked on cars for years there is no excuse for a catastrophic brake hose failure on a 105,000 car that is 9 years old.

While driving, the truck gets stuck in 3rd gear, warning message "transmission fault; limited gears" this happened a few times at low city driving speeds, and also occurred while driving on the highway at higher speeds.

Tl* takata recall. The contact owns a 2009 land rover range rover. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 17v015000 (air bags); however, the part for the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The contact called land rover jaguar las vegas (5255 w sahara ave, las vegas, nv 89146; 702-579-0400) and was informed that the part for the repair was unavailable. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue/failure. The approximate failure mileage was 123,000. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

The air bag light does not go out, and the dealer claims there is nothing wrong with the air bag, however it failed the state inspection due to the air bag isdue.

Noticed my range rover cut in the dash board, then realized the air bag is the cause. It is protruding out of the dash board!! Called dealer and corporate office.. They state my vin number is not in the recall list, although my car meets all the requirement in the recall. They are refusing to do anything about it !!!.. ..Updated 05/09/17 *bf the consumer stated the air bag was no longer operational. Updated 08/03/2017*js

I was driving out of whataburger on 8-2-16 and all of a sudden my brakes just went all the way down to the floor board and i stopped right before i was in traffic. My tire pressure light stays on, i have had them checked several times & the back of the truck jumps to the side if i hit a bump. All of this scares the heck out of me and i have only had this vehicle 5 months. Also the truck would start and cut off so i took it to a shop 4 times and they so called fixed it. I was told i had oil leaking into my valves. It is starting better but still some hesitation at times.
