  Chrysler (fca us, llc) is recalling certain 2019-2021 ram promaster city vehicles. If one or both turn signal lights fail, the flashing rate may not change to warn the driver of the failure. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment."

  Issue: on certain wheelchair-accessible vehicles, the compliance label has incomplete information. Also, the tire and loading information label may not have been updated to include the new seating capacity and the maximum weight of occupants and cargo. This could lead to overloading of the vehicle and cause poor handling or a tire failure. Safety risk: overloading of the vehicle could cause a loss of control and result in a crash.   Issue: on certain vehicles equipped with a 3.6 l engine, the transmission gear shift cable may have been damaged during vehicle assembly. As a result, the shift cable could disconnect from the transmission. If this happens, the transmission will not shift gears when the shift lever is moved. If a driver attempts to exit the vehicle while the transmission is not in the park position, and the parking brake is not applied, the vehicle could move suddenly. Safety risk: sudden and unexpected movement of the vehicle could increase the risk of a crash.   Issue: on certain vehicles, the turn signal indicator does not flash quickly to indicate when a turn signal bulb is not working. Canadian regulations require a change in the flash rate of the turn signal indicator when a turn signal bulb stops working. Safety risk: this problem could cause a driver to be unaware that the turn signals are not working. Turn signals that do not work may cause a person not to recognize when a driver intends to turn or change lanes. This could increase the risk of a crash. I was descending a steep hill making a left turn first time it happened and i heard a noise and i felt chattering in the steering wheel. Second and third occurred on flat ground making 90 degree turn all three incidents happened on city streets.

We have 3 ram promasters and all 3 have an oil leak at the oil cooler, costing over $800 each to have repaired. Again, all 3 have had the same issue resulting in over $2,400 in repairs.

Around 4,000 miles my brand new van died on me going up a small incline round around a small curve. I lost all power and a head on vehicle almost hit me head on because i list all power, i lost power steering, i lost braking power and i and my dad almost died because i was veering off a cliff. I restarted the vehicle and was able to return the vehicle to the road. At around 5,000 miles my air bag light came on for a half of a day driving. I have had radiator fluid smell and leaking. At 5,600 miles the ram dealer said i have a hole in my radiator and my vehicle has to wait in their shp for 30 days until they can get the new radiator. They don't know why it died on me.

A reputable rv dealership in brownstown, mi sold and delivered to me on 12 march 2020 a new 2020 winnebago travato integrated onto a 2019 ram promaster chassis. At the time of delivery there was an active safety recall posted by fca in january of 2020 on the chassis. I was not informed of the recall by the dealership which is in violation of federal law, 49 usc s 30112. I found out about the recall and informed the dealership. They claimed they did not know about the recall. According to fca, there is no remedy for the recall (transmission shifter cable). The dealership seems unconcerned they violated the law and is "now" only interested in getting the recall repaired once fca has the remedy. *tr
