Technical Background While verifying a low refrigerant condition the -V454- Air Conditioning Compressor sometimes appears to be leaking at the case seals (Figure 1). The oil found at the bottom of the compressor (Figure 1) can be caused by a leaking low pressure compressor O-ring. (Figure 2-3). Oil found at bottom of compressor.
