My 2018 Focus has 2 codes for check engine light P1450 and P0456. These 2 issues are the same thing other 2018 Focus's have been recalled for. We are at 43000 miles and think this car should be recalled as well.

Each time i fill the car with gas, even with the tank half full, the car stalls and has trouble starting. I have checked for clogged or cracked fuel lines and there are none. It puts out the code P1450. Replacement of the fuel tank pressure solenoid and it's still having the same problem. I have read that there may be a recall of some sort on the fuel system in these cars.

Stuck canister purge valve (may cause stall). Mine always triggered P1450 "unable to bleed up fuel tank vacuum" code after filling at gas station. I purchased and replaced the canister purge valve from Ford in midland, mi. This should have been a recall part and i should not have had to purchase! This design is flawed and all models with this design (and all years) need to be added to the recall. This could have been very dangerous if it stalled at a bad time.

On 3-28-21 i got an oil change. Shortly after my engine light came on with error code P1450 which it didn't have beforehand. We first took the car to a mechanic and he said that the code is consistent with a known recall for that year and model for a problem with the fuel system. We took it to a Ford dealership to get an evaluation done and they confirmed that the problem was consistent with the recall the mechanic mentioned however there is no recall for my vin number. When we put gas in the tank and turn it on again, the engine stalls. It runs rough when idle and sometimes has a problem getting up to speed from sitting at traffic lights.

Fuel purge valve leaking. Ford part number d2B19C987ab for whole assembly or b33tb bosch for specific valve. Ford denies this is related to emissions therefor not covered under the extended warranty for emissions parts. Everybody is calling it an emissions device that controls fumes from gas tank. Many other owners have same problem, it's very common. Code P1450 and P0456. Causes car to not turn on after filling up gas tank. For some it has stalled the car while driving and unable to start car. This part should be replaced under warranty. 2017 Fiesta, 50k miles. Easy way to test is pull the tube from between the engine and firewall and if vacuum is present it's leaking. Does not require tools to disconnect. There is a green tab on the tube that you use fingers to push. Again no tools required and takes 10 seconds to do. Purge valve is suppose to be shut off by default. If air is moving through, you have a leaking valve. If you remove the whole assembly and blow on the end, it needs to not come out from other end.

Once, my Ford Focus stalled while driving at about 35 mph. Good thing i was in a neighborhood. It could of been worse. I know it wasn’t the battery because i had just replaced it. Also at a later time after refueling it didn’t want to restart. Then the check engine light turned on. Code read P1450. I took it to the dealership and they said the purge valve needed to be replaced. I did some homework and read that Ford, in 2018 issued a recall for approximately 1.5 million select 2012-18 Ford Focus vehicles equipped with 2.0-liter gdi and 2.0-liter gtdi engines for a malfunctioning canister purge valve. However, my Ford Focus didn’t have that recall.

It has given codes P2196 and P1450. We took it to the dealer for diagnosis, and they said it needs the fuel vapor canister purge valve replaced. I noticed that Ford issued a safety recall for the focus, 18s32, for a faulty vapor canister purge valve, and have found much evidence on the internet that this is a common problem across Ford product lines. This is not covered under either the emissions or the powertrain warranty.

My check engine light came on and i took it to a local mechanic. The codes were P1450 and po456 which are associated with the safety recall of the canister purge valve. The fuel tank is also deformed. My cars vin is not associated with the recall so they will not cover it and i am expected to cover it. My car also has vibration at idle and has clutch shudder over 250 rpm. Ford fixed my transmission module in 2018 with a previous recall after it stalled several times. Now i am having issues again. The service advisor said they updated the transmission module in 2018 but the customer care agent tried to tell me they replaced the parts entirely in 2018 and not just updated. I notified her of the service advisors statement and then she went back to saying my vin wasn't part of an open recall. My vehicle is at 74,563 miles and has already had several major issues regarding transmission and canister purge valve.

A year later my vehicle is experiencing the same problems as before, the vehicle only has 65k miles on it. I contacted multiple Ford dealerships as well as Ford's corporate offices and was told that i would have to come out of my own pocket for any repairs that needed to be done regarding the problems i'm experiencing, because recall 18s32 was already performed on my vehicle. After fueling up and starting my car the car will almost stall out, as well as trying to stall when sitting at a red light or stop sign. I'm also experiencing a lack of power when accelerating. My obd scanner comes up with a fault code "P1450 unable to bleed up fuel tank vacuum". A lot of people are experiencing this problem even after getting the recall 18s32 performed on their vehicles. Upon further research, it seems to happen to quite a few Fusion owners, with videos and forums posts to verify. Once i continued to drive, and get up to 30 to 40 mph, the car ran fine. Car started fine the next few hours, but then in the evening it did it again. I had to put hazards on due to being on a main road and the car would not acellerate and started sputtering again. My check engine light also has came on during this process. My car has a check engine light with code P1450. This problem occurred in 2019 and was addressed by reprogramming the pcm. In 2021 i got the same code and now the purge valve is stuck open. I noticed that after adding fuel the car had trouble starting up until i gave it a little extra gas. I was advised not to drive the vehicle as it may stall, suddenly go into limp mode, or the fuel tank may collapse. I would like to note that all other Focuses of this generation have received a recall on the purge valve, but excluding my engine the 1.0. A lot of digging into forums has shown me that many 1.0 owners have had this problem with their Focus. Quite shady to recall only some of the Focuses when it seems that it's a common problem with all engine variations.

I have a 2014 Ford Focus. I had issues with the gas tank filling starting at the end of 2018. I also stalled out on the highway prior to this. I informed the dealer of this issue prior to the completion of the recall which is associated with this defect (safety recall notice 18s32 /nhtsa recall 18v-735). The dealer completed the software update related to the recall. The gas tank still exhibited issues filling (which only emerged around the stalling ' this is related to the recall). The next day after the software update was completed, i received a P1450 error code related to an evap cannister error. According to the dealer, the repair associated with this should have been covered under the recall. However, the dealer (who has been extremely helpful) stated that Ford was unwilling to provide reimbursement to this for this repair. Ford, on their website states, 'dealers will inspect and replace the canister purge valve, carbon canister, fuel tank and fuel delivery module, as necessary. There will be no charge for these services.' further efforts to speak to Ford directly about this have been unsuccessful. The dealer stated that this is a technical issue with billing that Ford refuses to address. As a result, i have had to replace the evap cannister at my own expense ($331.39). The P1450 code came back on after this repair. Therefore the issue is still not resolved. I have been told that any further recall related repairs will be at my expense because Ford refuses to provide appropriate reimbursement. The dealer expressed that they were very frustrated with the situation.

My car was first sputtering when turning it on then the engine light came on. Then it got harder to start when turning it on and was running rough. It was the vacuum purge valve. I had it replaced. Now i have 112,000 miles on my car now and the same thing happened after having it replaced. The code is P1450. There are recalls on the same year and engine 4 cylinder, 2.0 turbo, Ford focus but not showing as a recall for the 2014 Escape. Many people have the same problem in this make and year model of Escape. There is obviously a problem to cause it twice.

My check engine light is on and the code that was read is P1450. The wheel locked on me on two separate occasions. I was unable to make a turn while going across traffic to get to the other side of the median and had to completely turn the car off and start it again for it to unlock.

Replace purge valve eco boost engine code # P1450. This should be a recall since it is a safety/emissions issue and should not fail. This is in for repeat recall for faulty door latch.

My vehicle check engine light came on , scanned it and the code generated was P1450 which is the unable to bleed up fuel tank vacuum. This has had a affect on my car while driving it has stalled at high speeds on the highway, and has stalled at lower speeds as well and making a turn . It makes a loud vacuum noise and you can hear the whining or whistling of the pump or hose near the fuel tank under the driver door and under the hood . I looked up similar info on the Ford recall site and seen this recall # 18s32 . So i called my local dealership service department and the informed me that it don't cover my Ford vehicle , but there's a recall for this , so i'm not understanding why it don't apply to my vehicle.

2013 FORD ESCAPE with 86400.0 miles

I purchased my 2013 Ford Escape in dec 2020. I have only had it a little over a month. 3 weeks ago i noticed a humming noise coming from the rear of the car. As i was approaching a red light, slowing down to stop, without warning, the car stalled. I was able to pull over safely, put it in park and restart it. I had no other issues that day. Now it has become a daily occurrence. It all starts when i hear that humming noise and then i know that the car will stall on me when i slow down or stop. The check engine light came on once and my husband hooked it up to read the code P1450. I have not had it repaired yet. It is so scary, knowing that my car will stall on me in traffic! Tonight, on my way home from work, i heard the humming noise again, while driving 65mph on the interstate and then i heard a very loud pop which sounded like it came from the passenger side floor board area. Luckily the car stayed on and did not stall on me until i exited the interstate and came to a stop. It stalled on me and wouldn't start up right away. Even though the a/c stopped working, the car made it home without any other issues tonight. My husband told me to check this website for recalls and i found almost 1200 complaints on the very same thing that i am experiencing! How can a huge company like Ford not see the issue and help us? I am scared to death to drive it! I have to get on the interstate to get to work. Ford...You need to do something because this is not ok! I haven't taken it to a shop yet but they will probably tell me the same thing that everyone else is getting told! Nhtsa you have to do something! How can you see all these people with the same issues and not make Ford fix the issue?? It is not safe to drive this vehicle! My safety, along with others on the road that have to slam on their breaks to avoid hitting me when i stall out, is a huge safety concern!!! Please help!

I have a 2013 Ford Escape 2.0 liter engine. It has been making a buzzing sound from the gas tank for months. Usually after i put gas into it, the vehicle stalls. Now the check engine light is on, the buzzing is worse and the car stalls while driving,. It stalls at any speed. The code is P1450 and everything i've looked at states the no gas cap system is faulty and causing issues. The issue now is a huge safety issue. These cars were recalled for this very issue and why Ford is not fixing this is frustration. The dealership is no help, they just want to start installing parts, etc. Every forum i've looked at says that the parts do not fix the issue. I'm beyond frustrated and scared to drive this car.

Car would have hesitation and stall while idle and check engine light would come on (P1450). Also had vibration from fuel tank and/or fuel cap. Ford dealer said has to due with evaporator purge valve. Said has seen this on 'lots of Escapes from 2013-2014'. This needs to be a recall. My car stalled while driving on the highway with no symptoms beforehand.

Check engine light came on. Before i had a chance to get it checked, the engine wouldn't start after refueling until trying on the fourth time. Took the car to a parts store and the code read P1450. An october 25, 2018 recall acknowledged a problem with 2012-18 Ford Focuses with a 2.0l engine. Although this problem is clearly acknowledged with this same year, model, and engine, my vin is allegedly not covered in the recall. Dealer will not service the car under the recall.
