  • Recall 234005 [USA]: The loss of the rearview camera image while in reverse can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
    Polaris industries inc. (polaris) is recalling certain 2020 slingshot gt, 2021-2023 slingshot s, slingshot s tech, 2020-2023 slingshot r, slingshot sl, and 2022-2023 slingshot slr vehicles updated with ride command software. After shifting out of reverse, the rearview camera image may freeze and display a blank screen if shifted into reverse again. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 111, "rear visibility."
    dealers will update the ride command software. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed july 28, 2023. Owners may contact polaris' customer service at 1-855-863-2284. Polaris' number for this recall is t-23-03.

  • Recall 184008 [USA]: Loose rear wheel studs could result in wheel detachment, increasing the risk of a crash.
    Polaris, inc. (polaris) is recalling certain 2020-2021 slingshot vehicles. The rear wheel studs may not have been fully pressed into the axle, possibly causing them to come loose.
    dealers will inspect and as necessary, replace the rear axle/stud assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed august 27, 2021. Polaris' number for this recall is t-21-01.

  • Recall 2021698 [Canada]: Seats and restraints
    Issue: this recall is for certain accessory heated and cooled seat kits sold with new vehicles or sold by parts departments at polaris dealerships. The seat kit has part number: 2884701-vba. A layer of foam in the seats may not meet the flammability requirements of canadian regulations. Safety risk: in a fire, seat foam that does not meet flammability requirements could lead to an increased risk of injury. Corrective actions: polaris will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle or seats to a dealer. Polaris will replace the seats at no cost.

  • Recall 2021505 [Canada]: Wheels
    Issue: on certain vehicles, the wheel studs on the rear axle may not have been assembled correctly. As a result, the rear wheel nuts could loosen over time. If this happens, the wheel could separate from the vehicle. Safety risk: a wheel separation could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. A wheel that separates could also hit another person or vehicle. Corrective action: polaris will contact owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect and replace the rear axle and wheel stud assembly, as necessary.
