• Recall 46517 [USA]: If the side impact seat-bolster and curtain side airbags inadvertently deploy, they could cause personal injury if an occupant is seated on the same side of the vehicle as the door that is closed with a high rate of force. until the repair has been performed, it is recommended that a minimal force/speed be used to close the driver and passenger doors or closing the doors after 90 seconds have elapsed from turning the ignition key from the "on" to the "off" position.
  On certain vehicles, the side impact seat-bolster and curtain side airbags may inadvertently deploy. This condition can occur if the door for that side of the vehicle is closed with a high rate of force while the vehicle's ignition is in the "on" position or within 90 seconds of turning the ignition key from the "on" position to the "off" position.

• Recall 49994 [USA]: This may increase the risk of injury to the occupant in the involved seating position in the event of a crash.
  On certain vehicles, due to improper assembly of the air bag inflator, which is used in the side air bag, the curtain shield air bag, and the knee air bag assembly, some inflators were produced with an insufficient amount of the heating agents necessary for proper air bag deployment. In this condition, the expansion force of the gas may be insufficient to properly inflate the air bag when the srs system is activated during a crash.

  On certain passenger vehicles equipped with a glass wind deflector, the deflector, if impacted by a projectile, such as road debris, while driving with the wind deflector in the upward-tilted position at highways speeds, may shatter and separate from the frame.

• Glass moonroof shatters investigation # PE06024

  Odis investigation discloses that the subject vehicles sustain moonroof shattering and/or damage at rates comparable to those for most other similarly equipped vehicles.This review also discloses that such incidents occur in most vehicles with moonroofs and that while tempered glass panels commonly used in moonroof fabrication are shatter-resistant, some catastrophic failures do in fact occur.Impact with small stones or road debris may result in immediate or delayed shatter incidents, depending on the extent and nature of damage sustained by the glass moonroof panel.The manufacturer concludes that incidents of moonroof shatter are random occurrences that result primarily from impact with small stones or other objects while the vehicle is in motion. A safety-related defect trend has not been identified and this pe has been closed.The closing of this investigation does not constitute a finding by nhtsa that a safety defect does not exist.The agency reserves the right to take further action if warranted by the circumstances.

While driving heard a noise like something fell and was dragging in the back. Pulled off and noticed the plastic piece for my trunk had just fallen off. I hadn't been using the trunk.

While driving heard a noise like something fell and was dragging in the back. Pulled off and noticed the plastic piece for my trunk had just fallen off. I hadn't been using the trunk.

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 scion tc. While driving approximately 65 mph, the sun roof exploded and the glass shattered without impact or warning. There were no injuries. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.

While driving on a highway, the moon-roof/sun-roof shattered spontaneously. The damage does not appear to be caused by any object striking the glass. I have dashcam footage of the incident, in which two distinct pops can be heard when the glass shatters. Additionally, the extension mechanism (two supports on the sides of the glass) were fully extended. It is my assumption that one of the supports failed and fully extended, forcing the glass to bend and ultimately put enough stress on the glass to fail, at which point the other support fully extended. Engine block bolts are attached to an aluminum body of the engine causing bolts to become loose with time and can not rethread. Causing coolant to leak from bolt area

I was driving down highway going 55-60mph when my moonroof exploded! It literally sounded like a bomb or gunshot overhead. The dealership says there is no recall and this is not a manufacturer issue... I'd have to disagree as i'm not the only one with this issue.

I was on my way home and as i was turning on the street to pull into my apartment complex i heard gunshot sound but no one was around and no one was on the street i pulled into my apartment complex and park my car as i was getting out of my car glass started to fall on my face i realized that my sunroof had shattered.

The wind defeletor shaddered as i was driving down the freeway at 8:30 pm doing 60mpg. It had been open all day,

Car was involved in a multiple flip/rollover in which the driver side seat belt did not lock, causing the driver to thrash about inside the vehicle resulting in multiple skull, spine, and other bone fractures ultimately resulted in the death of the driver. The passenger side seatbelt did lock and the passenger survived. In addition to the seatbelt not locking, none of the air bags deployed. I mean none of them!!
