PRELIMINARY INFORMATION
Subject:
Power Foldaway Mirror Glass Shakes, Flutters at Normal Driving Speeds
Models:
2015 and Prior GM Passenger Cars and Light Duty Trucks
Equipped with Power Foldaway Mirrors
This PI has been revised to add the 2014 and 2015 model years and update the Labor
Operation to the Global Labor Code (GLC). Please discard PI0373A.
Condition/Concern
Some customers may comment that the outside power foldaway mirror glass shakes or flutters while driving at
normal speeds. Customer may also comment that the mirror(s) will not stay in the unfolded position.
This condition may be caused by the mirror(s) being manually folded and/or unfolded or the mirror(s) being
obstructed while (power) folding.
Recommendation/Instructions
Note: For full size trucks, refer to the latest version of Corporate Bulletin Number 06-08-64-027 for additional vehicle
specific information.
Follow the procedure below to correct this condition:
Fold and unfold the mirrors one time using the mirror controls to reset them to their normal position. A popping noise
may be heard during the resetting of the power foldaway mirrors. This sound is normal after a manual folding
operation.
