My vehicle suddenly has a wrench light pop up and the car stalls out. Still runs but wont accelerate . This has happened three time to me on the interstate. Took car to 3 separate mechanics and no codes were coming up. The car always starts up after it turned off but this is very dangerous. I couldve been killed.

I was driving with my wife on the highway on june 26th, 2021. As i was going around a turn to the right i had a warning come up saying to service advance trac. Right as that happened my steering wheel locked up straight almost causing me to crash. I do not know what could have caused this. I have gotten both my battery and alternator checked and they both are completely fine. I am getting my recall taken care of on thursday july the 6th so it will be looked over then to see what may have been the cause of it but a toe link would not cause something like this to happen. Ive asked family members that have been mechanics for over 10 years that don’t know what could have caused that to happen.

The contact owns a 2015 ford taurus. The contact stated while her husband was driving 40 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact's husband had to physically push the vehicle to the side of the roadway. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The independent mechanic initially diagnosed the vehicle with a defective fuel pump. The fuel pump was replaced however, the failure recurred twice after the replacement. On the third failure, the modulator was replaced due to the modulator over heating the fuel pump. Upon investigation, the mechanic informed the contact of nhtsa campaign number: 16v621000 (fuel system, gasoline) however, the vin was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed that the vin was not under recall. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
