PROCEDURE
DANGER
Park vehicle safely, apply parking brake, stop the engine. Prior to working on the vehicle, set
the ignition switch to the OFF position and trip the main circuit breakers equipped with a trip
button. On Commuter type vehicles, set the battery master switch (master cut-out) to the OFF
position.
Lockout & Tag out (LOTO) must be performed during set-up, maintenance or repair activities.
Refer to your local procedure for detailed information regarding the control of hazardous energy.
NOTE: A cut out of the floor under the brake pedal is required to get clearance for the brush
assembly found under the seal plate.

1. Disconnect the brake pedal/brake valve link. Pay attention on how the spring locking cotter pin is installed before removal.

2. Unscrew and remove the brake pedal.

3. Place appropriately the tracing template and secure with four (4) screws previously removed. Mark the inner rectangular shape.

4. Cut through the floor plywood according to the tracing template.
5. Install the seal plate on the floor with the brush assembly underneath.
6. Install the brake pedal over the seal plate.
IMPORTANT: Before final tightening of the bolts (torque: 7 lb-ft), make sure to push the pedal
attachment plate towards the front of the vehicle as much as possible to take all the play in the
holes.

7. Connect the brake pedal/brake valve link end. Install the spring locking cotter pin.
Do not turn the ball joints to adjust the length

8. Check that the ball does not touch the pin.
Make sure the pin enters the link end freely while pushing the link backwards
PARTS / WASTE DISPOSAL
Discard waste according to applicable environmental regulations (Municipal/State[Prov.]/ Federal)
