P1dab-00,U1412,P0716. Vehicle has shown codes above for 5 plus months. Codes cause vehicle to shift between gear randomly. I have taken vehicle to dealership but probably was not resolved; the dealership stated the problem was the speed sensor, so the switched them out only to find out later it was not the problem. Vehicle is unsafe; on one occasion the vehicle shift from the 8th gear to the 3rd while on the freeway almost causing an accident. Please resolve issue before someone is gravely injured.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 Acura Tlx. While driving approximately 75-80 mph, the vehicle independently shifted from drive into neutral. The contact was unable to shift the vehicle back into drive. The contact turned the vehicle off and back on, and was able to shift the vehicle into park, neutral, and drive; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to fayetteville Acura (located at 2022 skibo rd, fayetteville, nc 28314, (910) 864-1449) where diagnostic trouble codes P0716 (pcm) and B2A60-97 (power train) were located. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was presently still at the dealer. The vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 16v640000 (power train). The manufacturer was contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000.

Check engine light came on and i started having erractic shifting, codes came back as po755, P0700, P0716, P1607. This vehicle's transmission will not shift. I have taken to numerous shops half of them say it the pcm the other say it needs a transmission replacement. I have had the shift solenoid b replaced by dealership only for them to charge me then tell me it need a transmission replacement. The vehicle will still drive forward and backward but will not shift gears at all. Losses acceleration every so often then harsely goes back into gear while in motion. Rpm is very high but will still drive.

On 9/15/15 i was making a right hand turn from a red light when i heard a loud pop or bang from my front end, when i stepped on the gas the car would not accelerate. My car was out of warranty so after complaining to the dealership and gm they finally had it towed to the dealer (after 2 weeks) to have it fixed or looked at. The check engine light that was on at the time reset it self but the 2codes found in the computer were the P0716 and P0717 transmission codes but since they were historic (which the check engine light has never come on except for the break light issue) the dealership said my car was fine. I picked it up and off i went. 12 days later the vehicle bucked making a left turn, and the vehicle would not accelerate and the check engine light was back on. I was forced to drive to the dealership when the vehicle would not come out of 1st gear. The transmission was shredded. They would not tell me what codes were in the computer this time. But as i stated was an issue with vehicles from 2007 -2009 the 3-5 wave plate broke and contaminated my transmission. The car is still not 100% running right. The car still hesitates and jumps and has a hard shift with issues accelerating.

Vehicle has a delayed shift into 3rd and 5th gear, with a vibration felt in those gears. Found codes P0717 P0716 for input speed sensor on transmission. It is believed the vehicle has a broken 35r wave plate and need to tare down to inspect or replace transmission at only 63,000 miles. Extremely common problem on these vehicles (please refer to Gmc Acadia forums online everywhere for other victims). *js

I was driving home doing 35mph, when my car would not shift into gear and the engine light came on. I was able to get it home doing 5mph. My husband came out to take it for a drive and will not go into reverse. We had it put on the computer and a couple of different codes showed one of them being P0776. I have been looking on line and found many other complaints with this same problem. I also came across this: Saturn Outlook transmission fault and/or check engine light with code P0716, P0776, P0717, P0777, P2714, P2715, and/or P02723 Saturn Outlook problem model years affected: 2007, 2008, 2009 drive trains affected: 2wd, 4wd average mileage: 71,429 mi (39,000 mi - 118,879 mi) verified vehicles with a 6 speed automatic transmission may develop one or more of the following faults related to a broken 35r clutch wave plate inside the transmission: illumination of the check engine light with code P0716, P0776, P0717, P0777, P2714, P2715, and/or P02723, loss of reverse gear, slipping or harsh 3rd or 5th gear shift. Removal and dis-assembly of the transmission will be required to replace the broken 35r wave plate. It is also extremely important that all debris from the failed part be cleaned from the transmission while it is disassembled in order to try and prevent future problems.

I started from park and shifted to drive. As soon as i gently stepped on the gas to accelerate there was a jolt and loud noise. It shifted rough basically. The check engine light came on immediately. I stopped and looked under the car and hood for any signs of damage or leaking fluid and found none. I then decided to stop at the first auto part store i found to get the code read for the warning light. The codes read P0717, P0716, P0700, P0756. The tech told me that this indicated one of three problems all dealing with the transmission. So i decided to drive home and figure out what to do. As i started to drive it failed to shift from first gear. So i ended up driving slow due to the car being in first gear. Then suddenly the car acted as if it was in neutral, not allowing me to go forward or reverse. So i coasted to a stop and had the vehicle get pushed the remaining block. The shop tells me that it is some kind of wave plate and requires a new transmission at close to an estimated $5000. I just bought this car because i recently had a baby and have another child. I work for the military and can't afford this kind of repair 8 months after i had purchased it. Since this problem i have done some research and there are hundreds of people with the same problem. Which leads me to my question, when is enough? How many does it take to have a recall? My family are now down to one vehicle until i can figure out a way to pay for this repair.

I was taking my daughter to florida for cheer leading competition; i was just outside of illinois when the check airbag light and message screen came on thankfully the light went off but came back on on our way back to chicago and kept coming on and off. Took it to dealer but they only said that the harness was tight they only wiggled it and light went off but came back a couple of days later. Then the power steering started making noise dealer said they didn't hear anything and didn't do anything and noise is getting louder. Then suspension stared it making noise. Took it to dealer and had tie rods replaced. Then the service airbag problem came back and this time didn't go away. Took it to the dealer and they said that the harness was to tight and they rerouted it so it wasn't tight anymore. Worked for a couple of days and its on again but i didn't take it back and now is past its warranty. Then head lamp went out. Had to pay dealer $180 (rip off) next the other head light went out. My nephew replaced it in less than 10 min. Now there is a recall for that head light problem. Then wipers arm came loose from motor i had my cousin fix it for me. Now i have had the check engine light on for a couple of weeks took it to autozone came back with the code to replace the canister purge solenoid now i have the transmission problem, it started to act funny shifting pretty hard some times and then a few days ago i was driving on the freeway coming home when i notice the rpms at about 45000 and it wouldn't change gears and the fuel gauge started going nuts i don't know why and had to drive it home on the same gear. Took it to autozone and came back with the same code for the solenoid plus P0700/P0716/P0717 for the transmission. Now my Acadia is just sitting on my driveway no money to fix it and driving my 15 year old truck hoping Gmc does something about this nightmare

Check engine light came on. Two months before incident, car would go into manual shift mode and then shift back to normal mode. It would also slip gears and at times the reverse gear would not work. The car is equipped with the manual paddle shifters. At the time of the incident, the car completely stalled while approaching an intersection and the shifter would not respond to any gear when moved. The car lost complete power. The car was taken to sears and the codes P0716 (turbine input shaft) and P0700 (transmission control system) appeared. Sears recommended taking it to a dealership. The car was taken to faulkner chevrolet in lancaster, pa. Chevrolet ran through computer and found same codes. Techs drained transmission fluid and found metal in the fluid. A new transmission was installed a couple of days later. I called gm to report the problem and they responded with re-imbursing me for a portion of the cost of the transmission ($1,350 out of $4,158.38). The rep on the line said that was all that i was going to get and there was no point in trying to get re-imbursed for more. A search of the internet found similar problems and it was mentioned that it could be related to the wave plate.

On highway, transmission was stuck and would not shift. Check engine light turned on. Was attempting to merge onto busy highway and due to high engine revving and not shifting had to keep the vehicle under 45 mph. Merging was dangerous and had to drive under very busy conditions and leave the highway quickly. Did so luckily and returned home safely. Once home with self-purchased diagnostics tool read error codes P0017, P0716 and P0700, some pertaining to timing chain stretch (known issues on this vehicle) and transmission plate issues (also known). Gm has never contacted me regarding these and i consider this vehicle unsafe with very little warning about what appear to be 2 manufacturer-known (Gmc) issues regarding timing chain stretch and faulty transmissions right at about the time power train warranties expire. We are just over the warranty expiration of 100,000 miles on powertrain and are staring at significant expense and a car we just don't trust anymore.

Issue began as a jerky movement in reverse. A few days later, high engine rpms were noticed during acceleration which eventually led to the check engine light being lit and the transmission being disengaged. No gears were operating and car was able to be pulled off the main roads with no incidents. Many online forums describe a similar issue with the gmc acadia, chevrolet traverse, and buick enclave as well and across several model years for each vehicle. 2005 KIA SORENTO

While driving under normal circumstances, the automatic transmission in my 2005 Kia Sorento makes an unusual noise (klunk) while shifting between gears, then immediately loses power. I maybe able to drive at a very low speed for a short distance with no power or it will just not move (as what happened to me in the second failure). The Kia dealership in which i have had it towed to has done the following. First visit = "misc found codes P0716/P0893//clear codes ok at this time" could not duplicate customers concern. Second visit = replaced throttle pos sensor". Third visit = "vehicle was low on transmission fluid". I am not accepting the last excuse as a fix to the problem, i believe there is an underlying problem. the vehicle went back to the dealer for the 4th time for the clunking noise that causes it to stop and the dealer replaced the wiring harness kit.
