• Recall 47848 [USA]: Failure of this connection could lead to fuel spillage and, in the presence of an ignition source, a fire could occur.
  Certain aftermarket fuel filters sold under the purolator brand name, p/n f65277, shipped from january 16 through june 2, 2006, for use on the above listed passenger vehicles. Due to incorrect design, the quick connectors may not fully seat with the tube interface, even though the person making the connection may believe that the quick connector is fully attached.

• Recall 59986 [USA]: This condition may cause an inadequate seal at the connection, potentially leading to a fuel leak. in the presence of an ignition source, a fire could occur.
  Certain replacement fuel filters, fram brand name p/n g3727, with date codes x52911 through x60801 sequentially or x600141 and a mexico country or origin marking on the fuel filter housing manufactured from october 18, 2005, through march 21, 2006, sold for use on the vehicles listed above and on certain school buses. (to see the school bus engine sizes, click on "document search" and then "bus applications"). The connector on the fuel filter was not manufactured to honeywell's specification. As a result, the o-ring may not seat correctly on the fuel line.

• Recall 6419 [USA]: If the ball joint attaching nuts are not adequately tightened, they can loosen and ultimately, result in fracture of the ball joint stud. if the ball joint fractures, control of the vehicle could be affected, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. The front suspension lower ball joints were not tightened to specifications when they were attached to the lower control arms.
  dealers will inspect the torque on the two ball joint attaching nuts. Vehicles with loose ball joint attaching nuts will either have the fasteners tightened to specification, or if necessary, the ball joints will be replaced.

  An under torque condition may exist in the front lower ball joint. This may result in a high bending fatigue loading of the joint which could result in a fracture of the first thread of the ball stud which then leads to separation of the lower control arm from the knuckle. This separated condition will limit steering control.

• Recall 2000267 [Canada]: Suspension
  On certain vehicles, the front suspension lower ball joints may not have been tightened to specifications during manufacture. This could result in loosening of the attaching nuts and, ultimately result in a fracture of the ball joint stud. This could adversely affect vehicle control and a crash could occur. Should the left side ball joint fracture, the wheel and tire could contact the fuel lines or the fuel filter potentially resulting in fuel leakage. Correction: ball joint torque will be inspected and vehicles with loose ball joints will either have the fasteners tightened to specification or if necessary, the ball joints will be replaced.

The car just crossed the 100,000 mile mark and i put gas in, car was on empty and turned off, and after about seven gallons of gas, gas started coming out from under the car. Dealer says that there is no recall matching my v.I.N. , i feel like its a safety issue and should have been recalled.

I was pulling into a stall at the treasure coast mall when we heard a loud thud when i got out to see what it was i seem that the tire was leaning in and pushed under the fender.I then had to call a tow truck and found out later that the left front ball joint completely snapped off and the right side was badly worn and loose and also had to be replaced. This is crazy i see all these complaints through the years about the 2000 s type jag all have the same problems.. Why hasn't there been a recall i just recently experienced the same thing where i had to have my car towed when i first noticed it was right after i bought the car in 2012.Now it's been almost going to 3 years and i'm having a this problem was not being able to shift into drive in a park position or even switch from reverse when i'm parked on the incline this is ridiculous, i can't even drive my car. Now with all the complaints that i've been reading about the jaguar s-type it makes me feel like jaguars not concerned about their safety issues while building such a prestigious and very expensive automobile there may concern was getting it out in the showroom to sell for thousands of dollars not including the expensive repairs that it takes to maintain a jaguar.It seems to me the jaguar dealerships be willing to stand behind their product as well as accommodate the safety issues that are clearly a defect on the many factors part because you wouldn't have that many people complaining on a forum about the same issue the same complaint.I do realize that my jaguar is now 15 years old but it still has a whole lot of life in it i have a beautiful jaguar. And i love it i love everything about it but this problem with the gear box shift truly need to be looked into please don't wait for a disaster to happen in these cars if the recall will require them spending millions is so be it because we as a consumer have worked hard in order to get the car of their dreams and that's the case for some people.You would think that to be dealers of a jaguar with stand for some type of integrity and responsibility and be the first to recognize the problem. *tr
