• Recall 232079 [USA]: An engine that does not return to idle quickly enough can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Mack trucks, inc. (mack) is recalling certain 2023-2024 gr, an, lr, and terrapro vehicles. The engine may not return to idle within 2 seconds if the accelerator pedal position sensor becomes disconnected. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 124, "accelerator control systems."
  mack will replace the throttle pedal and update the vehicle software, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed february 27, 2024. Owners may contact mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is sC0455.

• Recall 248164 [USA]: Inoperative windshield wipers can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Mack trucks, inc. (mack) is recalling certain 2023-2024 lr garbage trucks. The wiper arm retention nuts may be loose, stripping, and causing the windshield wipers to fail.
  dealers will inspect, tighten the retention nuts, and replace the windshield wiper arms as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed august 22, 2023. Owners may contact mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is sC0445.

• Recall 205035 [USA]: Loss of power steering assist increases the risk of a crash.
  Mack trucks, inc. (mack) is recalling certain 2023 lr battery electric trucks. During certain driving maneuvers, the power steering system may lose pressure, causing a loss of power steering assist.
  dealers replace the higher ratio steering gear and power steering pump software for higher rpm's on the steering pump, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on may 24, 2022. Owners may contact mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is sC0434.

  Issue: on a small number of lr electric trucks, a defect in the steering system could cause a loss of power steering assist during strong or fast steering inputs, like in an evasive maneuver. Safety risk: a loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort and create the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: mack will notify owners by mail.
