When reinstalling a Control Assembly onto an AMT following
inspection or repairs, Guide Pins ( Part Number 9996876 ) must be
used to ensure proper orientation. An AMT main box with the guide
pins properly installed can be seen below:
If Guide Pins are not used, misalignment of the Control Housing can
cause damage to the tone ring as shown below:

- Cause: If there is a defect in material and if the transmission is
still under coverage a warranty claim may be submitted.
