    Issue: the tire and loading information label on certain vehicles may list the wrong combined weight of occupants and cargo. As a result, you could overload the vehicle. This could cause excessive tire wear and lead to a tire failure. Safety risk: a tire failure could cause a loss of control and result in a crash. Corrective actions: mercedes-benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the tire and loading information label. Additionally, the dealer will inspect the tires for excessive wear due to this issue, and replace them if necessary.

    Issue: in certain conditions, the vehicle could roll-away after placing the transmission in the "p" (park) position if the parking brake is not set. Note: you should always follow the parking procedure in the owner's manual, and set the parking brake each time that you park.     Issue: on certain vehicles, the passenger seat belt assemblies may contain defective automatic locking retractors (alr). As a result, the seat belts may not properly lock to secure a child seat. Note: the vehicle's lower universal anchorage system (uas) is not affected by this defect and may still be used to secure a child seat. Safety risk: a seat belt that is used to secure a child restraint but is not properly locked could increase the risk of injury in a crash.     Issue: on certain vehicles, the driver may not be able to dim the lights on the instrument panel to a low level. Safety risk: glare from bright instrument panel lights could reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash.
