Complaint:
Creaking noise when making vertical or longitudinal adjustment to electrical steering column

Cause:
Lack of lubrication
Remedy:
1. Remove steering wheel.
2. Remove steering column switch module (N80).
3. Lubricate thrust piece of steering column. To do so, use copious amounts of special oil / all-purpose oil
(A0009898401) in area marked red
(see attachment). If necessary, remove any excess oil using a rag.
4. Install steering column switch module (N80).
5. To distribute the oil or to perform a noise test, move the steering column through the entire adjustment range
several times.
Note: If the noise persists, repeat step 3.
