File in Section: Service Bulletin Bulletin No.: Date: PIT5099A November, 2014 PRELIMINARY INFORMATION Subject: Diagnostic Tip - A/C Blows Warm Or Poor Performance Models: 2015 and Prior GM Passenger Cars and Trucks This PI was superseded to update Model Years. Please discard PIT5099. The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI. Condition/Concern Customer may comment that there A/C blows warm or they have poor A/C performance. Recommendation/Instructions When technical assistance is required and before calling GM TAC, the following information will be helpful in assisting with diagnosing the vehicle. Please have the following information available: • A/C High and Low pressures • Outside temperature • Humidity • Vent temperature If the unit is equipped with an Automatic HVAC system, go into the HVAC data with the scan tool and get the following readings: • Inside temperature sensor reading • Outside temperature sensor reading • Duct temperature sensor readings • Evaporator temperature sensor reading (if equipped) Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. Note: Dealers should always be prepared to provide SI Doc ID(s) or Bulletin / PI #(s) when calling into GM TAC
