• Recall 245884 [USA]: An unexpected decrease in brake performance increases the risk of a crash.
  Chrysler (fca us, llc) is recalling certain 2017-2020 alfa romeo giulia and 2018-2020 alfa romeo stelvio vehicles equipped with carbon ceramic matrix brakes. During certain driving maneuvers, the brake system may exert an excessive clamp force that may fracture the rotor, decreasing the brake performance.

  Fca us llc (alfa romeo) is recalling certain 2018-2019 alfa romeo stelvio and 2017-2019 giulia vehicles. The brake system module (bsm) software may prevent the driver from disabling the adaptive cruise control (acc) after the traction control system detects a specific wheel slip.

  Chrysler (fca us llc) is recalling certain 2017-2018 alfa romeo giulia vehicles equipped with gme 280hp engines and all wheel drive ("awd"). The brake fluid line may contact a coolant hose clamp, possibly causing brake fluid to leak onto the exhaust.

  Issue: on certain cars, the tire placard label has some errors in recommended tire pressure. Specifically, the pounds per square inch (“psi”) pressures have small errors: 1. Cars with rear 225/45r18 tires incorrectly list 35 psi instead of 36 psi. 2. Cars with rear 225/40r19 tires incorrectly list 37 psi instead of 39 psi. 3. Cars with rear 225/35r19 tires incorrectly list 33 psi instead of 35 psi. All of the metric pressures are correct. Safety risk: these small variations in recommended tire pressure are unlikely to affect safety. Corrective actions: this is not a recall. The company has made production changes to ensure that the tire placard label on all new cars has the correct tire inflation pressures.

  Issue: under specific driving conditions, the driver may not be able to cancel the adaptive cruise control (acc) setting. Safety risk: if the driver does not shift to neutral or apply the brakes to stop the vehicle, this can cause a crash without warning. Corrective actions: the company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to update the brake system software. Drivers should not use the adaptive cruise control feature until this update is completed.

  On certain vehicles equipped with all-wheel drive (awd), a coolant hose clamp may rub against a brake fluid line in the engine compartment. Over time, this could lead to brake fluid leaking onto the engine catalyst. This could cause an engine compartment fire, creating a risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will install a bracket on the brake fluid line to ensure proper clearance from the coolant hose. If the brake line is found damaged, a new brake line will be installed.

• Low pressure fuel pump assembly failure investigation # PE24003

  The office of defects investigation (odi) has received 12 complaints and multiple field reports alleging incidents of stall/loss of motive power as a result of low-pressure fuel pump failures in certain 2017-2018 model year (my) alfa romeo giulia equipped with 4 cylinder 2.0l and 6 cylinder 2.9l turbocharged engines. Based on an analysis of the complaints and field reports, odi has found that most of the reported loss of motive power incident allegations occurred at speeds above 25 mph and resulted in permanent disablement of the vehicle.  one (1) complaint reported a minor crash incident attributed to the loss of motive power due to fuel pump failure. Other complaints reported the fuel pump failed, was repaired and the fuel pump failed a second time. During discussions with the manufacturer, odi learned that in january 2018, they released a technical service bulletin (tsb) #18-001-18 announcing to its service dealers a remedy for vehicles who experiences a diagnostic trouble code (dtc) P008A-low pressure fuel system pressure- too low. The remedy includes inspection of the fuel pump module and replacement, if necessary. A preliminary evaluation has been opened to assess the scope, frequency, root cause(s) and consequences of these loss/stall of motive power incidents.  additionally, odi may expand the scope of the subject population during the investigation, if needed. While waiting for a traffic light to change, the vehicle turned off but immediately turned back on. About four miles later, the same situation happened again but this time it took me a few minutes to get it to start. The vehicle had 1/4 fuel on the tank. After refueling, it drove fine. It was fine again on my way home from work, at least most of the way. When i was near home, it started to shut off and back on at a few traffic lights, but was able to drive it home.

The car stop by itself in the middle of the road and i just could make it to pull it over and lights appear on the car dashboard the check engine, the electronic throttle control, and other light that i dont know what it is but it was an "a!" . I turn off the car and i waited for 10 min an i turn it on again and it works but the lights still were there, so i took it to the dealer ship because i have only 4 month with the car and it is an used car, but it has only 19000 miles to have that kind of problems. At the dealership they told me that they dont have space to check the car probably until october that they will call me, but when we went back to home the car did the same it start to drop the speed by itself and stop , and i just parked in my house and i have not move it, the car has other problems to check, the hook connections and the tires, but the thing is that the dealership say they have too many cars in front of mine and they will check it probably until october 2020. I really think those vehicles alfa romeo guilia should be checked from the electrical system because life of people is in risk when they just stop in middle of the road.

On another occasion, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle independently accelerated and crashed into the garage door. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed to alfa romeo of wilmington pike (99 wilmington pike a, chadds ford, pa 19317, (484) 840-7190) to be diagnosed, but the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure or retrieve a fault code. Engine over heats to point u feel the heat in the car while driving at times the electrical which they have recently put in new system for radio navigation while driving when electrical shuts the radio head odometer system and and interior lights shut causing to pull over sunroof had recent issues as well and now does open or close into buttons positions only one button opens and closes it simultaneously with inside sun blocker and can't control distance of position u want it opened mostly concerned the engine revs high and ac which doesn't seem to work well while driving and feeel heat and odor as if it's overheating and have taken to professionals that checked all oil antifreeze all fine antifreeze suppose feed into mutilple tank doesn't as its suppose to
