    Hyundai motor america (hyundai) is recalling certain 2021-2023 palisade vehicles. The windshield wiper motor may operate intermittently or fail to operate due to snow or ice buildup on the windshield, causing the wipers to fail.
    dealers will replace the driver-side windshield wiper arm, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed may 15, 2023. Owners may contact hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 243. This recall is an expansion of recall number 22v-627.

  • Recall 203163 [USA]: A fire while parked or driving can increase the risk of injury.
    Hyundai motor america (hyundai) is recalling 2020-2022 palisade vehicles potentially equipped with a tow hitch harness installed as original equipment, or purchased as an accessory through a hyundai dealership. Debris and moisture accumulation on the tow hitch harness module printed circuit board (pcb) may cause an electrical short, which can result in a fire.
    owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete. Dealers will install a new fuse and wire extension kit, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed may 18, 2023. Owners may contact hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 235.

  • Recall 190740 [USA]: A disabled display screen will not show critical information, such as the meters, gauges, and warning lights, which can increase the risk of a crash.
    Hyundai motor america (hyundai) is recalling certain 2022 palisade vehicles. The instrument cluster assembly may have been manufactured with excessive adhesive, which can disable the instrument cluster display screen.
    dealers will replace the instrument cluster assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed july 15, 2022. Owners may contact hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 230.

  • Recall 2022261 [Canada]: Lights and instruments
    Issue: on certain vehicles, there may be a problem with an internal electrical connection for the lcd screen in the instrument cluster. As a result, the screen may not work, and you may not be able to see certain information about the vehicle, including warnings and malfunction tell-tale graphics. Safety risk: warnings and malfunction tell-tale information that does not display could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: hyundai will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the instrument cluster assembly.

Known Recall Investigations
  • Windshield wiper failure investigation as of 20221202

    On august 15, 2022, hyundai motor america (hyundai) notified the office of defects investigation (odi) of a safety recall (nhtsa recall no. 22v-627) on model year (my) 2020-2021 hyundai palisade vehicles that were built up to november 30, 2020. This safety recall addressed windshield wipers that may function intermittently or stop functioning when impeded by the accumulation of snow and/or ice at the bottom of the windshield. Intermittent or inoperative windshield wipers could reduce driver visibility while operating the vehicle in inclement weather, increasing the risk of a crash. The root cause is under investigation and the recall remedy is unknown at the time of the opening of this investigation.Odi has received 6 complaints alleging windshield wiper failures while driving during wintry precipitation in my 2021 hyundai palisade vehicles (3), my 2022 hyundai palisade vehicles (2) and my 2023 hyundai palisade vehicles (1). These vehicles were excluded from the cited recall.
