• Recall 211313 [USA]: Front blower motor failure can increase the risk of a vehicle interior fire.
  Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain 2015-2017 ford expedition and lincoln navigator vehicles. The front blower motor located behind the glove box may fail.
  dealers will replace the front blower motor assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed august 4, 2023. Remedy parts are expected to become available in the second quarter of 2023. Owners may contact ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 22s56.

• Recall 206386 [USA]: A loss of brake fluid may result in a change in brake pedal travel, increased pedal effort and reduced front brake function, requiring greater effort and distance to stop the vehicle. these conditions can increase the risk of a crash.
  Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain 2016-2017 ford expedition, lincoln navigator, and 2016-2018 f-150 vehicles equipped with 3.5l ecoboost engines. The brake master cylinder may allow brake fluid to leak from the front wheel circuit into the brake booster.
  dealers will replace the brake master cylinder. If the master cylinder is leaking, the brake booster will also be replaced. Repairs will be performed free of charge. An interim owner notification letter notifying customers of the safety defect were mailed on april 29, 2022. Owner notification letters were mailed april 29, 2022. This recall is an expansion of nhtsa recall number 20v-332. Owners may contact ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 22s11.

• Recall 2022115 [Canada]: Brakes
  Issue: on certain trucks equipped with a 3.5 l ecoboost engine, brake fluid could leak from the brake master cylinder into the brake booster. This can cause reduced front brake performance, and the driver may experience increased brake pedal travel and increased pedal effort. Full braking function remains in the rear wheel circuit. Note: depending on the amount of brake fluid loss, the driver may hear a warning chime and see a red brake warning indicator in the instrument cluster. This is an expansion of ford recall 20s31 (transport canada recall no. 2020-252). Safety risk: reduced front brake performance can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to replace the brake master cylinder. The dealer will also replace the brake booster if the brake master cylinder is leaking.

Brakes failed while driving. Mechanics found all brake fluid leaked internally from master cylinder into the brake booster. I have another ford vehicle that was recalled for this exact problem in 2017.

Car stops accelerating at various speeds on numerous occasions, and cannot get vehicle to propel. No propulsion occurs. Must bring vehicle to complete stop, turn off, and turn back before it will accelerate. Large wrench appears on screen, but disappears after the car is restarted. Safety issue because you cannot maintain speed or accelerate, was almost rear-ended and created potential accident trying to pull vehicle over. Took two visits to the authorized dealer to diagnose the problem as their was no "code" apparent to dealer, and was almost rear ended in between those visits. Vehicle owner quickly googled problem and noticed that n. Carolina consumers council had successfully petitioned nhtsa for this issue on other fords, but that recall appears not to have included these expeditions. Dealer replaced the throttle body.

Wife started car. Pushed on the brake to put it in gear. Brake pedal went to floor. Checked master cylinder. Cylinder was completely empty. Brake fluid leaked past seals in master cylinder into the brake booster, then got sucked into engine and burned. No warning lights came on at all.. Luckily wife was at the pool down the road from our house when it happened. She drove 5 mph back to the house. A four year car should not have a faulty brake master cylinder. Master cylinders should last for at least 10 years. Ford has a major problem brewing.

During a recent routine mileage based tire rotation and balance at an independent service center , the technician had difficulty placing the socket onto the lug nuts to remove them. He had to tap the socket wrench with a hammer to get the socket onto the nut. Tech illustrated where the lug nuts had swollen and he had seen this on other ford vehicles. This factory lug nut is a 2-part assembly and swells over time to the point where a standard and factory supplied socket on the vehicle would not work properly if there was a situation where the tire needed to be changed .Ie.. A flat on the side of the highway. This vehicle is less than 5 yrs. Old... I purchased a complete new set of 24 lug nuts before leaving. A true safety issue of one being able to use the vehicle equipment to safely remove and replace a tire without concern over whether the socket will fit the lug nuts and removing the lug nuts from the socket. I have opened a case with ford.

Total brake failure while backing up , almost hit another vehicle, shifted to forward to avoid accident , loss of brake fluid in master cylinder to brake booster. Exact symptoms as recall 20s31 with 2014 to 2017 f150. The expedition is on af150 chassis . According to dealer not under recall but probably should be. Out of warranty. Repaired on my dime. Replaced master cylinder and cleaned booster. Vehicle was in motion at time of incident. Just glad i wasn't on the boat ramp or highway

Tl* the contact owns a 2017 ford expedition equipped with cooper tires, tire line: evolution h/t, tire size: 275/65/r18, dot number(s): utyj1j94120, utyj1j93720, utyj1j93320. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 21t002000 (tires). Discount tire (7920 w bell rd, glendale, az 85308) was made aware of the issue however, the contact's wife was informed that the tires were not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

The suv was not able to move and was towed to the ford dealer. I was told the throttle body physically looked good but the electronic in it was dysfunctional and it would need to be replaced. The cost was 755.93. This is 2017 ford expedition. Crazy and unsafe, what interesting was the service tech asked if i cleared the code P2112 from the obc. I said no i don't know how to do this. He told me then the car cleared the code so maybe that why it can happen over and over again. The was a history of P2112 but no active code. Interesting - safety problem

The contact stated that while at a complete stop at a red light, a vehicle driving at 60 mph failed to yield at the red light and crashed into the rear of the vehicle. Pushing the contacts vehicle into the vehicle in front. The driver's and front passenger air bag failed to deploy. The contact also advised that the driver's and the front passenger seat moved back wards independently when the contacts vehicle crashed into the vehicle in front. The contacts head hit the steering wheel caused injury to head, right cheek bone, neck, elbow, and back. The front passenger suffered injuries to the shoulder, neck, elbow, right arm, and back. The police department was present and the fire department was also present. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted.
