  Chrysler (fca us llc) is recalling certain ram promaster trailer light modules, part number 68229650ab. These accessory modules were sold for installation on ram promaster and promaster city vehicles. The trailer tow lighting control module may have a software error on the affected vehicles and can prevent illumination of the trailer brake lights during brake actuation. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and assoc. Equipment."

• Recall 112796 [USA]: If the tpms light illuminates because the sensors cannot be located, it could mask an actual low tire pressure condition, possibly resulting in tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Chrysler group llc (chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2014 ram promaster vehicles manufactured april 23, 2013, to august 22, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the tire pressure monitoring system (tpms) may fail to learn the locations of the individual sensors while the vehicle is being driven. As a result, the low tire pressure warning light will illuminate, despite the the tire pressures being within specification. Should one of the tires lose air pressure, the driver would not be notified of the change in air pressure. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 138, "tire pressure monitoring systems."

  Chrysler group llc (chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2014 ram promaster vehicles manufactured april 23, 2013 to may 22, 2014. The affected vehicles may experience circuit corrosion from water intrusion around the in-floor battery cover and door footwell trim.
  chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect all the connectors in the footwell areas, the ignition fuse and the occupant restraint control (orc) module for corrosion, if corrosion is found, dealers will repair the connectors in the footwell area and the ignition fuse, and replace the orc module. They will also install a water barrier sealer on the floor, add di-electric grease to all footwell connectors and replace the body plug. The in-floor battery ignition fuse will be relocated, and add di-electric grease to the orc module connector. These repairs will be performed, free of charge.   Issue: on certain vehicles equipped with a 3.6 l engine, the transmission gear shift cable may have been damaged during vehicle assembly. As a result, the shift cable could disconnect from the transmission. If this happens, the transmission will not shift gears when the shift lever is moved. If a driver attempts to exit the vehicle while the transmission is not in the park position, and the parking brake is not applied, the vehicle could move suddenly.   Certain vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of canada motor vehicle safety standard (cmvss) 208 - occupant protection in frontal impacts. The sunvisor airbag warning label, user guides and owner’s information dvds incorrectly identify the vehicle’s passenger and driver frontal airbag systems as “advanced airbags”. In the event that occupants rely on the owner’s information or user guide, they may position themselves closer to the airbag than they would if compliant information regarding the airbag system had been provided, which may increase the risk of injury to a front seat occupant in a crash where frontal airbag deployment is warranted. The contact owns a 2014 ram 1500 promaster. The contact stated that the oil cooler filter failed and caused coolant to mix with the engine oil. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer but was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted or notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 118,000.

Was driving down a neighborhood street and stopped to back into a driveway when i put the vehicle in reverse the transmission housing bracket that has four bolts holding the engine and transmission broke off. Leaving my transmission just inches from the ground. This is not supposed to happen. There is no design to catch or hold the transmission in its place. I am very blessed that this happened in the neighborhood and not on the highway, there could've been quite a bit of damage to my vehicle and possibly others.

I cannot change lanes safely without that mirror working properly. I believe the issue is with the motor that folds the window in malfunctioning. I have owned three separate ram promasters and this is the third vehicle this has happened. This is extremely unsafe and should be recalled asap.

Head lamps bulbs continously suddenly burn out. Safety issue, as driving during dark hours, and suddenly have no head lights. Have replaced them 6 times in 4 months. Another owner of same vehicle approached us and ask if we had problems with head lights. He replied he has replaced his eighteen times already.
