PI1161 20102014 Verano, Regal, Malibu, LaCrosse, Impala, Cruze — Engineering Information Sunroof or Sunshade Inoperative, DTC U151B Set Call Engineers listed in PI. Unplug modules, pull fuses, or disconnect battery. PIE0279 20132014 ATS — Temperature Information for Driver and Passenger Heated Seat Cushion and Seat Back Measure Temperature Difference. Replace Seat Cushion. PI0990A 2013 ATS — Water on Front Compartment Floor and/or Musty Odor Inspect the Drain and Apply Cooling Coil Sealer. Remove HVAC Case . PI1160 20122014 Regal GS, CTS Vsport, Camaro ZL1, Camaro Z28, Camaro SS (RPO 1LE), Corvette, Corvette Z51, Corvette SS— Information on Tire Cold Weather Cracking Install winter tires if driving or moving the vehicle below 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C). Reattach bracket. PIE0278 20082014 Solstice, Sierra, Savana, TopKick, Sonic, Cruze, HHR, Cobalt, Silverado, Express, Kodiak, SRX, Regal — Damaged, Disassembled or Improperly Packaged Turbochargers Returned to Warranty Parts Center Properly and securely package the old turbocharger in the original shipping container from the replacement part with the upper and lower packaging locators installed correctly. Complete and detailed description of the fault on the repair order will also aid in evaluating the fault of the returned part. Remove any part off of the turbocharger assembly even to remove it from the vehicle. It is not necessary to remove any component of the turbo charger to remove it from the vehicle. Do not disassemble the turbocharger to diagnose the fault. No component needs to be removed for diagnostic reasons. PI0653A 20092014 Sonic, Wave, G3, Aveo, Cruze — Normal Engine Cylinder Bore Marks Re-use the engine block with these normal honing marks. Replace the engine due to normal cylinder bore marks as pictured in this bulletin. Use proper cleaning methods when conditioning the block for a repair. Do not use abrasive pad/ bristle devices to clean the gasket surfaces of engine components. PI0725A 20112013 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Verano, ATS, Cruze, Orlando, Malibu — MIL Illuminated, DTC P0442 Set - EVAP System Small Leak Canister Vent Solenoid (CVS) Valve Not Sealing Under Vacuum Use the labor code designated in this bulletin when replacing the Canister Vent Valve. Do not use the labor code for the EVAP Purge Solenoid when replacing the Canister Vent Valve. PI0979 20132014 ATS, CTS, Camaro — Malfunction Indicator Lamp Flashes Due to Engine Misfire On Acceleration, DTC P0300 and/or P0303 Set Load new calibration enhancement for diagnostic for DTC P0300 / P0303 misfire on vehicle where the SES is Illuminated between RPM range of 2200 to 4400 RPM. Replace Spark plugs, Ignition coils and Fuel injectors for DTC P0300 / P0303 and SES set between 2200 to 4400 RPM range. PI1122A 20112014 VOLT — SERVICE HIGH VOLTAGE CHARGING SYSTEM Message Displayed on Driver Information Center (DIC), Hybrid/EV Charging System Disabled, DTCs Set, Revised HV Battery Surge Tank Coolant Fill Level When the battery coolant is low it is imperative that the system be pressure tested per PI0961. Add coolant to reservoir before pressure testing and verifying batter coolant system integrity. PI0961C 2014 Corvette — Instrument Panel Brightness too Low Reflash the BCM. IPC, HVAC module and Radio. All modules must be programmed separately. Replace the instrument cluster or BCM. Replace the headlamp for in inoperative or intermittent inoperative condition until checking the connections outlined in the bulletin. 14-08-42-001 20122014 Cruze — Starter or Flywheel Knock Noise On Start Up Replace the starter and fuse block. Replace the flywheel. Noise on cold start should become less after 35 seconds of operation. Replace high pressure pump for normal noise. 07-06-04-025I 2014 SRX — DTC U0121 Falsely Set Install the revised BCM calibration to resolve the communication code from setting. Replace the BCM or EBCM for the loss of communication code concern. PI1158 GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer".
