  Icon vehicle dynamics, llc (icon) is recalling all 05-up fsd 2.5 centerline stabilizer kits with part number 65050. The kits were sold as an accessory for certain 2005-2021 ford f-250 4x4 and f-350 4x4 pickup trucks. The foam ring inside the stabilizer "through shaft" may block the piston ports, possibly causing the steering to lock up.

• Recall 70701 [USA]: Non-functioning lights could increase the risk of a crash.
  Ford is recalling certain model year 2011 ranger trucks built from january 25, 2011, through april 25, 2011 at the twin cities assembly plant, and service parts distributed to dealers for certain 2004 through 2011 model year ranger trucks, 2002 through 2005 model year excursion vehicles, and 2002 through 2007 model year f-250, f-350, f-450, and f-550 trucks for failing to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment." the multi-function switch was shipped with a subcomponent (slider) that may experience deformation. A multi-function switch with a deformed slider may malfunction causing the turn signal, tail lights, hazard warning signal flashers and/or brake lights not to activate.

• Recall 74644 [USA]: This could result in bending of the hitch channel or the hitch could be pulled off the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Knapheide is recalling 108 my 2006-2008 pro series truck beds equipped with an icc bumper which included a provision for a ball hitch. There may be an insufficient weld attaching the hitch channel to the supporting structure.
  knapheide will offer two remedies to its customers: (1) for those customers who do not use the hitch, the hitch will be removed from the truck bed and replaced with an icc bumper; or (2) for those customers who need a hitch, a receiver hitch assembly will be added to the existing hitch assembly and all suspect weld joints will be re welded. • Recall 75249 [USA]: This could allow possible shifting and damage to the rear drive shaft and axle.
  Truxxx is recalling 338 aftermarket replacement welded 3" lift blocks for rear suspensions, part no. 206073, included in suspension kit nos. 108035 and 108036, sold between july 26, 2007 and march 4, 2008, for use on ford my 2005-2008 f-250 superduty 4x4 light trucks. Compressive forces of the welded lift blocks resulting from foreseeable and excess vehicle payloads as well as over-tightening of the u-bolts during installation may distort the blocks, reducing the intended clamping force of the u-bolts.

• Violent front end oscillation investigation # EA08007

  This investigation was opened based on 78 consumer complaints of severe suspension and steering wheel oscillations after the subject vehicles traveled over an uneven surface.Odi was concerned about these complaints because many of them alleged loss of control and the loss of control occurredat speeds above 50 miles per hour.At the time these complaints were received, odi was also aware of the tsb 07-10-10 and early warning field reports that discussed the shimmy condition on the subject vehicles.Since opening this investigation, odi has confirmed, based on consumer complaints, warranty data, testing conducted by vrtc, and odi inspection of complaint vehicles, that the owners of the subject vehicles are experiencing shimmy events on their vehicles.However, odi has also confirmed that owners typically do not maintain their tires at the pressures recommended by ford on the tire label.Further, odi has found that in order for shimmy to occur, tire pressures must be substantially below (at least 20%) those specified on the vehicle tire label.Odi considers these unsafe tire conditions to be the result of one of three typical situations.The tires are being improperly maintained, the owners are intentionally setting the tire pressures low to enhance ride quality, or aftermarket tires (not designed for use on the vehicle) are installed to change the appearance or function of the vehicle.The subject vehicles are intended and designed to be used as heavy duty vehicles and as such require that the tires be capable of handling the loads for which the vehicle is designed and marketed.In order for the tires to be capable of handling these loads, the proper tire pressure must be maintained.In light of the information gathered in this investigation and fords agreement to notify subject vehicle owners (now and every two years until the vehicles reach ten years from their production date) about the importance of maintaining proper tire pressures on their vehicles, further use of agency resources does not appear to be warranted.The closing of this investigation does not constitute a finding by nhtsa that no safety-related defect exists.The agency reserves the right to take further action if warranted by the circumstances.For additional information, see the attached closing report.

Not quite sure what component or system is failing/malfunctioning. Best way to describe what is happening, "death wobble". No other simpler way to put it. No auto store/dealer has any solid answer. Simply put, almost killed my entire family on the highway and not to mention other drivers on the highway. Driving fine then any bumps/grooves in the road instantly sends the entire vehicle into this violent shaking mess. To stop the shaking, we have to try (because once it starts shaking, it's almost like the steering is freezing up) to stop the vehicle completely. Once stopped, we take off like nothing ever happened until the next set of bumps/grooves. We have taken the truck to auto mechanics, we explain what is going on and instantly they inform us that we are not alone in this and there's really nothing you can do without constantly changing parts, etc. But there is "no" fix. No warnings, messages, nothing. Basically have to hold on for dear life and ride in the far right lanes so you have a better chance of pulling off on the side of the road without being smashed to death. We literally fear for our families lives in this truck but what can you do when it's pretty much all you got.

I was traveling straight on the interstate just below the speed limit. I heard an odd noise felt the truck feel unstable. I slowly coasted to a halt to find that my rear passenger tire had blown out. The entire sidewall was disintegrated and the tire was detached from the rim. It bent in my the rear quarter panel of my bed causing an estimated $1200 in damage.

Fortunately i was in a rural area close to home, so i drove it the rest of the way home and parked it in a field, away from any buildings to allow the 30+ gallons of gas to drain out. The cause of the leak was one of the straps that secures the fuel tank broke (rusted in half) and the gas tank dropped down and was dragging against the highway. I attached a photo of the strap that broke

While traveling on pennsylvania turnpike at approx. 75 mph i hit bump and the front end of my truck started bouncing and steering wheel was shaking so bad i could hardly control my truck. Once i slowed down enough x the shaking stopped.
