Infiniti Fx35 Rwd 2009

• Recall 112976 [USA]: Extra play in the steering wheel or a loss of steering may increase the risk of a crash.
  Nissan north america, inc. (nissan) is recalling certain model year 2008 infiniti ex35 vehicles equipped with the power tilt/telescope option included in the premium package, manufactured june 29, 2007, to april 25, 2008, 2009 infiniti fx35 and fx45 vehicles manufactured october 31, 2007, to april 16, 2008, and 2009 nissan gt-r vehicles manufactured march 14, 2007, to april 25, 2008. The steering column outer tube may not be round, resulting in extra stress being applied to the upper steering bearing. This stress may cause the bearing retainer to fracture, creating extra play in the steering wheel or a possible loss of steering.
  nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the steering shaft on the infiniti ex35, fx35, and fx45 vehicles, and will replace the steering column assembly on the nissan gt-r vehicles, free of charge. • Recall 2015060 [Canada]: Steering
  On certain vehicles, the steering column upper bearing retainer may fail due to a manufacturing defect. If this occurs, the upper bearing may experience additional stress causing excessive play in the steering wheel. This could result in vehicle instability and increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will replace steering shaft on ex35/fx35/45 and replace steering column assembly on gt-r.

• Recall 2010383 [Canada]: Lights and instruments
  On certain vehicles, the filament in the bulb of the daytime running lamps (drl) may burn out due to a shorter lifespan than expected. A loss of drl illumination could render the vehicle less visible to other motorists and to pedestrians during daylight hours, possibly resulting in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will replace the daytime running lamp bulbs with a longer life type bulb.

• Steering column separation investigation # PE14034

  In a january 28, 2015 letter to nhtsa, nissan identified a safety defect in the steering column assemblies used in certain model year (my) 2008 and 2009 infiniti ex35, infiniti fx35/45 and nissan gt-r vehicles equipped with power tilt/telescope steering columns supplied by fuji kiko co., ltd (nhtsa recall no. 15v-054, nissan r1501/r1502).The recall covers a total of 16,973 vehicles, including 15,647 my 2008 infiniti ex35 vehicles manufactured from june 29, 2007 (sop) to april 25, 2008; 1,100 my 2009 infiniti fx35/45 vehicles manufactured from october 31, 2007 (sop) to april 16, 2008; and 226 my 2009 nissan gt-r vehicles manufactured from march 14, 2007 (sop) to april 25, 2008.The affected vehicles may have been manufactured with a steering column outer tube that is out of specification (out of round), which may result in stress at the upper bearing.According to nissan, in rare instances, the condition caused the bearing retainer to fracture creating excessive play in the steering wheel.In this condition, if excessive axial force is applied to the steering wheel, the column may separate and cause a loss of steering control.Nissans remedy instructs dealers to replace the steering shaft on the infiniti ex35 and fx35/45 vehicles and to replace the entire steering column assembly on the nissan gt-r vehicles.Odis analysis of complaint and warranty data related to the alleged defect in the subject vehicles identified a total of 5 incidents in which steering column separation appears to have occurred, including one alleging that a crash resulted.Sixteen (16) additional incidents of loose steering were identified in nissan complaints (1) and warranty claims (15).The 5 separation incidents identified by odi involved vehicles built from november 7, 2007 to february 5, 2008, including 3 vehicles built from february 2 to february 5, 2008.The 16 incidents of loose steering involved vehicles built from january 19, 2008 to april 3, 2008, including 9 vehicles built from february 1 to february 11, 2008.None of the incidents involved the approximately 1,800 my 2008 ex35 vehicles that are not included in the recall, which either were not equipped with the fuji kiko power adjustable steering columns (the manual adjustable steering columns were made by a different supplier) or were built after april 25, 2008.This investigation is closed based on nissans safety recall.The voqs associated with this investigation are: 10350255 and 10605536.

This item is called the rear cross member that attach's the rear shocks, drive axle and brakes. The sway bar on the driver side has already dislodged from the vehicle therefore when you apply the brakes, the rear axle seems to be shifting because the sway bar is used to supply a stationary support to the rear drive shaft. I discovered this when braking i noticed that the vehicle dived to the right as if the rear axle had shifted. This vehicle is not safe to drive now.

The car stalls. The power steering no longer works when the car stalls. I have been in traffic, multiple times, when the car stalled. It creates an unsafe situation because the traffic behind me has to apply the brakes or swerve around me. Long ago took the car to infiniti and they did a $300+ 3 point fuel injection clean, etc. They could not duplicate the problem and there was no code, so they said they couldn't help but the 3 point service might resolve the problem. They also told me i needed some updates, 3 i thing at $165 each!? When i asked if that would resolve the problem, they couldn't say. I see this issue on infiniti forums but no recall. This problem does not produce a code and no warning signs/lights. I really like the car but these issues don't make it fun or safe to drive. I'm hopeful to get this problem resolved. Thank you.

In november of 2019, while driving my son to school. The passenger door locks wouldn't allow the door to open. He had to climb over my seat in order to exit the vehicle. The door has not opened since. I've called several infiniti dealers since last nov and they all have referred me to a body shop to fix the problem. All 3 body shops i've contacted had no idea how to fix the problem or how to get the door open without doing major damage to the vehicle. I ha e filed a complaint with infiniti customer relations, they told me that since the car is out of warranty they will not help w any repair cost. I have also spoken with a design engineer from nissan about this issue. He confirmed that this is a major safety hazard that needs addressed immediately. Upon research in the infiniti forums and other websites i notice that i am not the only one with this issue. Several people have experienced the same issue. Today i was finally able to contact a head tech at louisville infiniti. He said the only way to open this door is to take a let bar and destroy the inside of the door in order to break the latch. This will break the window as possibly damage the internal frame structure. There is also no guarantee of the fix nor could he estimate the cost of getting the door to even open. *tr

Hi. My car has a sticky smelly dashboard. I contacted infiniti but i was told that my car is not under warranty. It smells like burnt rubber and it hard to see threw the windshield. How can i get this fixed?

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 infiniti fx35. After parking the vehicle, the contact was unable to open the front driver's side door. Infiniti of naperville (1550 west ogden avenue, naperville, il 60540, (630) 241-3000) was contacted and stated that the failure may be due to the door lock actuator. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000.

I was driving my car on the expressway today and my sunroof exploded. I did not experience any falling debris or other issue that would cause this to happen - the roof simply exploded. Glass went everywhere. The sound of the explosion sounded like a gunshot and i immediately pulled to the side of the highway to determine what had occurred. There was no visible damage to tires or the body so i slowly began driving on the shoulder to reach a exit near by. As i began moving i could hear the infiltration of air overhead and opened the inside door panel of the sunroof, the entire window was missing and the frame for the sunroof was mangled. The highway is 65 mph and at that rate of speed, an unexpected explosion on the car could have led to a significant accident. Furthermore, anyone in the back would have at a minimum been covered with glass. I have contacted my insurance company and am in the process of having my car towed to a facility to have it repaired. I will be able to provide photos and insurance evidence of the event if needed.

Cracking dashboard in multiple areas: around entertainment center, around each air vent, where knee touches dash (near steering wheel). And now i'm feeling the driver's side arm rest begin to crumble. I believe there is an inferior product behind the fancy dash material and it is now crumbling. Vehicle is parked at home in garage or in shade.
