  • Recall R/2010/061 [UK]: Brakes may not operate correctly
The clevis pin may displace from the brake pedal/brake booster input rod assembly as the clevis pin securing clip may not have been fitted at the factory.
recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary fit a clevis pin securing clip.

  • Recall 2019420 [Canada]: Other
Issue: this recall is for aftermarket replacement rear window glass produced by vitro automotriz. Certain rear window glass may not have been properly tempered. If the window breaks, the glass may separate into large pieces instead of very small ones. Note: this is a voluntary recall that is not being conducted under the requirements of the motor vehicle safety act. Safety risk: glass that breaks in to large pieces could create a risk of injury. Corrective actions: the company will notify consumers by mail and instruct them to inspect the designation code marked on the rear window glass. Products affected by this recall have the designation “dot 287” along with the lettering “vmr” (replacement market) and a date code that is before july 2019. This information is printed on the bottom corner of the glass. Consumers should contact vitro's customer service at 1-412-995-6457 or [email protected] to arrange for replacement of the glass.

  • Recall 2011157 [Canada]: Label
Certain vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of canada motor vehicle safety standard 110 - tire selection and rims. The french-language wording displayed on the tire placard does not fully comply with the revised requirements of the standard, which came into force on september 1, 2009. As the variation in the french text is minor, and all required safety information is displayed on the placard, no corrective recall action is required. This technical non-compliance is deemed to be non-safety related.

  • Recall 2010085 [Canada]: Airbag
On certain vehicles, the fasteners securing the passenger front air bag module may not have been tightened to the proper torque specification. If the fasteners were not tightened properly, they may loosen over time and cause a rattling noise. In the event of a crash, the passenger front airbag may not deploy properly, resulting in the risk of personal injury or death. Correction: dealers will inspect the air bag module fasteners and torque them to specification.

  • Recall 2010086 [Canada]: Other
On certain vehicles, the fasteners securing the steering shaft positioning bracket may not have been tightened to the proper torque specification. If the fasteners are not properly tightened, they may loosen over time and the steering column may begin to rattle. If the condition is not repaired, the fasteners could come out completely. This may result in noticeable steering column movement, which may affect the ability to steer the vehicle, resulting in the possibility of a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: dealers will inspect the steering column and torque the fasteners to specification.

  • Recall 2010088 [Canada]: Powertrain
On certain four-wheel drive vehicles, the joint portion of the front driveshaft may contain small cracks. These cracks may eventually lead to a failure, resulting in separation of the front driveshaft. If the driveshaft failed while the vehicle was moving, a loud noise would be heard. If the vehicle were in 2wd mode, the driveshaft would come to rest on the frame cross-member, and the vehicle could be operated normally. The driveshaft would not come in contact with brake, steering or fuel system components, therefore the risk of a crash is considered minimal. Correction: dealers will inspect the vehicle and replace the front driveshaft if necessary.

  • Recall 2010159 [Canada]: Suspension
On certain vehicles, the lower control link assembly collars (forming the inboard attachment point to the chassis) may not have been manufactured correctly. If the collar weld fails, the cylindrical collar can open, which will allow the collar to slip over the mounting bolt and bushing. This may change the wheel camber, which could allow vehicle handling characteristics to deteriorate, possibly resulting in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the lower control link assembly.

  • Recall 2010301 [Canada]: Accessories
On certain garmin nüvi 750 gps units purchased as a customer or dealer installed accessory at nissan dealerships, the lithium-ion batteries may contain a defect that may cause them to overheat and cause a fire. Correction: dealers will direct customers who have an affected unit to the garmin web site, which explains how to verify if their units are involved and includes procedures to follow for product exchange.

Defective factory radiator led to mixing of trans fluid and coolant causing contamination and vehicle failure. Problem initially exposed while driving vehicle on highway at 50mph. Vehicle lost power and stalled while driving at this speed. Had i been an inexperienced driver, like many out there, this failure could have easily resulted in serious injury, or even death, of myself and my children, as well as, other drivers of the highway! This was the first indication of any problems with my vehicle. All maintenance was, and is, up to date. All fluids are routinely checked with no indication of leaks. Researching this problem, i found that it is extremely common in various models of nissan between years of 2005-2015! How hasn't this been recalled yet, especially considering that nhtsa has already investigated it? It is not a coincidence that all of these vehicle experience the same problem! My vehicle has been repaired at nissan dealership, with no assistance from nissan. $5086 to replace the transmission and radiator, and hook the same defective system back up to inevitably fail again. With no doubt that it will occur after the 12 month warranty period expires. It is your responsibility to keep consumers safe from the corner-cutting, cost-cutting companies. This faulty radiator is causing serious problems. Not only does it cost thousands to fix temporarily, but it is endangering lives. Does someone need to die for it to be considered a safety issue, and recalled? Or, is nissan paying you more than the potential ramifications you face when someone is badly injured or killed?

Milky fluid was leaking from the coolant area. I had both the coolant & radiator fluid drained and replaced for precautionary measures. Now when i put my car into drive and i step on the gas pedal to accelerate, it revs high before going into gear. It does this especially after i reverse out before putting it into drive which puts me in danger because it takes awhile to go into gear and if a car is coming, i could be hit.

Engine coolant (antifreeze) is mixing with transmission fluid. When going to add transmission fluid and checking all other fluids, i realized that the radiator is filled with a yellow milky colored sludge, and my transmission fluid is bone dry. Further research into this problem revealed that this is a very common issue associated with a defective radiator in 2005-2010 pathfinders.

Heater hose broke suddenly while driving in moderate traffic on the freeway causing a short burst of steam and the engine to overheat. Mechanics stated that this part did not show abnormal wear and tear and should not have busted on a 2010 vehicle. There was no warning, the break was sudden and we were lucky to be able to safely move to the side of the busy freeway before the engine overheated.

Your regulations are ridiculous, cars are no longer comfortable with the stupid head rest restraints pushing your head down to your chest. These things are never designed to work with people who are 5 foot tall or less. I have to take them off to even drive any type of vehicle anymore. I have no curvature in my neck vertebrae so having my head pushed forward by a head rest is painful. Your should check the internet, because there are a lot of people bitching about this. Let our heads rest and reduce the government mandated angle that a normal human can't comfortably or safely drive with.

I bought this vehicle new in 2010. We are a very typical users with a family of four (currently with about 120k miles). I've had regular problems (service engine light would turn on). Started with spark plug replacement a few times, engine control module replacement, and now latest engine replacement. I've already spent more than $6k over the last few years on these issues. The dealer is now quoting $12k for replacing the engine. I simply cannot afford this. Please let me know right away what options i can pursue (including a lemon lawyer, etc.).

Transmission fluid mixed into radiator. Vehicle stalls, overheats, vibrates, transmission does not function right. Vehicle was driven on city street.

NoNoN NoneNone20170402

While driving the gear changed and the car made vibration and noise and the service engine light turned on. I went back home and had a mechanic checked and he found out that the coolant and the transmission fluid mixed. The liquid inside the radiator looked like a strawberry milk shake.

Takata airbag recall:front drivers airbag sensor constantly blinking. Airbag will not work. Told spiral cable snapped.

"takata recall"; while driving on the city streets in los angeles, ca the power train (automatic transmission) failed and the radiator failed. The gasket in the radiator that separates the oil and water failed in the radiator while these fluids are cooled when the vehicle is running. Once this gasket failed, the water and oil mixed together. Sending water mixed with oil into the transmission. The water in the transmission ruins the transmission value body, electrical parts & gears also over heats the vehicle engine. The transmission needs to be replace, the radiator needs to be replace, flush of coolant system, flush of transmission and replace all fluids (transmission oil & coolant fluid). I replacement of transmission or rebuild. I had the transmission repaired at a cost $3000.00 plus a radiator and fluids/oil at a cost $500.00 for total $3500.00.

While driving on highrise pkg lot hear grinding noise, once outside i got to corner stop and turning to the right i step on the brakes, however the car would not stop.It took approximately one car length to come to stop moving, all the time with the brakes applied to the bottom. No other incident for a week. Two sunday's ago at church the same happen, apply brakes and car continue moving , it took about a car lengths to come to stop. Luckily there was no one walking at the church parking. It is at the dealer since then for repair. Is waiting (9days)for the esc module, which went bad and without it, they can not determine the brakes problem. Once that is replace they will test the abs computer because nothing appears to be wrong with the mechanical/physical parts of the brakes. The car has gave all the schedule maintenance bless you the book at the dealers service shop for nissan.

On my way to work in early morning rush hour traffic my transmission completely locked up in a lower gear. The car began to shudder and i was forced to slow to about 15 mph. I was very lucky that no one struck me from the rear as traffic was very heavy. Nissan stated that the radiator fluid leaked into the transmission causing the transmission to fail. I have been quoted $7,050.00 by lander's nissan in southaven, ms to repair.

Shattering sunroof. I vented sunroof at first and as i was closing sunroof vent to open sunroof that when the glass cracked and shattered in vehicle. There was no obstruction or manipulation. I only used sunroof controls. Luckily i closed internal sunroof cover in time and only a little glass fell on me. Nissan says they are not liable as there is no proof of faulty sunroof. The cost to repair is approx $800. There are a good amount of complaints online and investigations conducted by local news agencies. *tr

No incident has occurred to date. However, i also do not like gambling with my family and their lives. Our 2010 nissan pathfinder is the primary vehicle for my family. The reported issues with failing radiator and transmission must be addressed to prevent loss of life. Nissan recognizes the issue and the best they could do to date is to issue an extended warranty coverage. That is not good enough. Please step in and enforce a safety recall on those vehicles. Prevention is called for in this instance. I have discussed this with nissan corporate and logged a case number with them. *tr

Passenger airbag light stays illuminated as if i am not in the seat instead of going out like it's supposed to do. It is acting as if a small child or small adult is in the seat. I am 5ft 11in tall and weigh 135 lbs. This far exceeds the fda design/manufacturing qualifications. The light has been doing this for the last 10 to eleven months. I bought the pathfinder new, it has never been wrecked. Dealership tested for a code and none showed. A new seat was installed today, 5/25/2012 and the light stayed illuminated again. Tuesday, we tested a different 2010 pathfinder on their lot and the light did not stay on. It went off properly after a couple of seconds. Today, we tested me in a new 2012 pathfinder and the airbag light worked properly as well. This is a $45,000 suv and i pay for my airbags to properly deploy if i am ever in an accident. Something needs to be done. *tr
