These trucks are equipped with kidde plastic-handle or push button 'pindicator' fire extinguishers that may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or requiring excessive force to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. In these vehicles, the pvc pipe heater wiring may chafe on a metal clamp possibly resulting in the wire short circuiting.

  On certain vehicles outfitted with the optional accessory cold weather pcv heater kit, the pipe heater wiring may chafe on a metal clamp. This could result in the pcv pipe heater wiring to interact with the clamp, which could lead to an electrical short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will replace the pcv pipe heater with an improved component.

• Recall 2015597 [Canada]: Fuel supply
  On certain vehicles, the fuel return hose could deteriorate when subjected to various chemicals and lubricants, such as those used when cleaning the vehicle or used in certain rear body applications. If the fuel return hose were to deteriorate, it could swell and come off. This would result in a fuel leak, which in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire. Correction: dealers will inspect the fuel return hose. If a defective hose is found installed, it will be replaced with an improved hose.

  On certain vehicles, the parking brake cable lock nut may have been improperly tightened during vehicle assembly and could loosen over time, allowing the parking brake lever stroke length to increase gradually. If left unchecked, the parking brake stroke could increase until the parking brake no longer fully applies. This could allow the vehicle to roll away causing a risk or property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will inspect the lock nut and tighten if necessary.
