The tie rod fastener that connects the brake booster and the brake master cylinder may have been improperly assembled during manufacturing, which can cause the brake master cylinder to separate from the booster assembly.

The heating pads behind both side-view mirrors may not be bonded properly, allowing the mirror glass to detach. • Recall 153199 [USA]: A separated panel may become a road hazard, increasing the risk of crash or injury.
  Honda (american honda motor co.) is recalling all honda genuine accessory tonneau covers, part number 08z07-t6z-100f, sold for installation on 2017-2020 ridgeline trucks. If the tonneau cover is not properly secured in the open or closed position, wind resistance may cause the cover to flip and buckle. If this occurs, the hinges between the center and rear panel may deform, possibly allowing the rear panel to separate from the vehicle.
  honda will notify all registered owners of 2017-2020 honda ridgelines, and dealers will install tethers onto any honda genuine accessory tonneau cover to prevent panel separation and apply warning labels, free of charge. • Recall 2021725 [Canada]: Structure
  Issue: on certain vehicles, the hood latch striker could separate from the hood. If this happens, the hood could open while driving. Note: a loose or vibrating hood may be a warning that the hood latch is failing. Safety risk: a hood that opens suddenly while driving could block the driver's view and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: honda will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the hood latch striker. Depending on its condition, a striker support plate will be installed, or if necessary, the hood will be replaced.

• Recall 2020441 [Canada]: Accessories
  Issue: this recall is for honda genuine accessory tri-fold tonneau covers that were sold as an accessory by honda dealers. There may be a problem with the bed-cover that could cause it to come loose while driving and detach from the truck. Safety risk: a bed-cover cover that separates from a moving truck could create a hazard for other drivers and nearby people. Corrective actions: honda will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer for an inspection. If necessary, the dealer will install a tether between the center and rear panels of the tonneau cover to prevent them from separating. The dealer will also provide you with an updated accessory owner's manual and apply warning labels that remind you to properly secure the tonneau cover before driving. Note: until the recall repairs are completed, you can prevent the tonneau cover from coming loose by removing and storing it.

• Rear-view camera failure investigation as of 20240213

  The office of defects investigation (odi) has received 27 complaints and a number of early warning reporting (ewr) field reports alleging failure of the rear-view camera (rvc) in 2020-2023 model year honda ridgeline vehicles. The complainants report when the rvc fails it shows a black screen when in reverse rather than the camera view. Many report damage to the tailgate wire harness that appears to be caused by normal usage of the vehicle when opening and closing the tailgate. The damage to the wire harness severs the connection to the rvc causing it to fail to function as designed. Failure or malfunction of the rvc results in reduced visibility of the area behind the vehicle. This limited view may lead to an increased risk of a crash resulting in injury and/or property damage. Odi is opening this preliminary evaluation (pe) to determine the scope and severity of the potential problem and to fully assess the potential safety-related issues. Sunroof spontaneously shattered while driving. Sunroof is not safety glass and shattered into thousands of shards. If the inner cover had been open the driver would have been hit in the face with these glass shards while driving at highway speed. There was nothing on the roadway that could have caused this explosion. Smooth paved road and no close traffic. We believe it is a defect and the type of glass is inherently dangerous to be used in a motor vehicle.

On 12 or more occasions the truck braked for no reason. Nothing in front of me. It's been to the shop 3 times for this. I have done research on this problem and found out honda has several law suites on their cmbs system going back to 2015. So why have they been aloud to keep this system in cars and trucks.

On two occasions, i was driving at freeway speeds in a cold climate for about an hour. I decelerated onto an off ramp. Upon acceleration, i received a flashing check engine light and reduced power. I was able to limp home at decreased speeds. I was able to pull codes P0304 - cylinder 4 misfire, P0305 - cylinder 5 misfire, C342D - manufacturer control. The problem went away after restarting the vehicle. I took the vehicle to the dealer, but they were unable to see any codes or reproduce the issue.

The auto high beam feature does not work correctly. Turns on and off at it's own reflection from roadside sings of all shape and sizes. Flashes other vehicles when it is supposed to be on low beam. Have complained to honda and was told if i did not like it too deactivate the feature.

A special honda tool that is not included with each vehicle, is the only way to place the zf 9 speed transmission into neutral, to allow for towing, or physically moving the vehicle out of traffic, if the vehicle's battery fails. Honda should include this tool #07aaa-tz3a100 lock release, with every honda equipped with the zf 9 speed transmission.
