DESCRIPTION
Mazda has developed factory recommended scheduled maintenance services that support all major vehicle
systems. Mazda recommends dealers follow the scheduled maintenance tables as cited in the vehiclespecific workshop manual or owner's manual.
Services performed outside of Mazda's factory scheduled maintenance are not recommended. These
services are unnecessary and create unneeded expenses for your customers.
SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE
Refer to the applicable Workshop Manual or Owner's Manual for vehicle -specific manufacturer scheduled
maintenance.

Notes
1. Transmission fluid flushing should only be performed when instructed by Workshop
Manual or any other Mazda publication.
2. Transmission fluid replacement is only recommended on B-Series Truck and Tribute
Transmission
and should be performed only at the mileage intervals specified in the owner's
flushes
manual.
1. Transmission flushing is recommended if the customer accidentally adjusted the
transmission level using an incompatible type of fluid.
Transmission oil 1. Transmission oil additives could (under certain conditions) lead to internal damage

1. Engine oil flushes are unnecessary.
Engine flushes 2. Contaminated oil from flushing machines may damage the engine and void the
warranty.

1. Mazda recommends coolant replacement starting at 100,000 miles of service on all
models since 2008 (except B-Truck and Tribute). Prior to 2008, some vehicles have a
replacement starting at 100,000 miles and 2 years on others, depending on the
model.

2. Flushing the coolant system is only recommended if the customer accidentally
