• Recall 45674 [USA]: Fuel may leak, possibly resulting in a fire.
  Certain delphi fuel pressure regulators, p/nos. FP10020-11b1, fP10026-11b1, and fP10027-11b1, sold after january 9, 2007, as aftermarket equipment for various passenger vehicles listed above. The universal pressure regulators (upr) were produced without an o'ring and retainer.
  delphi will notify owners and replace the upr free of charge. The recall began on april 23, 2007. Owners can contact delphi at 877-411-8770.

• Recall 57933 [USA]: This could increase the severity of injury to a person who was not properly restrained and who was close to the passenger air bag at the time of deployment. it could also reduce the ab8ility of the air bag to protect a restrained front seat passenger.
  On certain passenger, sport utility vehicles and mini vans, some of these vehicles have a passenger air bag that was manufactured without a check valve pin. An air bag without the check valve pin could produce increased pressure at the onset of the air bag deployment and reduced pressure afterward.
  dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the passenger air bag. Owner notification began december 16, 2002. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact chevrolet at 1-800-222-1020, pontiac at 1-800-762-2737, oldsmobile at 1-800-442-6537, or saturn at 1-800-553-6000, prompt #3.

• Recall 4265 [USA]: In the event of a crash that would trigger a passenger air bag deployment, a double load of generant can cause the inflator module to explode. if the air bag module explodes, metal and plastic debris could cause severe injury to vehicle occupant. a module with no generant would not inflate the air bag, and the occupants could receive more severe injuries.
  Vehicle description: passenger, sport utility vehicles and minivans. The passenger air bag inflator modules were built without the correct amount of generant, which produces the gas that fills the air bag. Some were built with a double load of generant and some were built without generant.
  dealers will replace the passenger air bag module. Telephone calls were made to owners on january 29, 2001. Follow up owner mailing began on april 17, 2001. • Recall 6117 [USA]: In the event of a vehicle crash, the occupant may not be properly restrained.
  Vehicle description: passenger vehicles, light duty trucks, sport utility vehicles, and mini vans equipped with trw seat belt buckle assemblies. The buckle base of these seat belt assemblies were not properly heat treated and therefore do not pass the load bearing requirement of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 209, "seat belt assemblies."
  dealers will inspect the vehicle's safety belt buckle assembly date codes and, if necessary, will replace any safety belt buckle assembly.

• Recall 2002234 [Canada]: Airbag
  On certain vehicles, the passenger air bag was manufactured without a check pin. An air bag without the check pin could produce increased pressure at the onset of the air bag deployment and reduced pressure afterward. This could increase the severity of injury to a person who was not properly restrained and who was close to the passenger air bag at the time of deployment. It could also reduce the ability of the air bag to protect a restrained front seat passenger. Correction: dealers are to inspect, and if necessary, replace the passenger air bag.

Tl*the contact owns a 2001 chevrolet lumina. The contact stated that the brake lights worked intermittently. Nhtsa campaign id number 01v364000 (exterior lighting:brake lights:switch) was referenced. The vehicle has not been inspected by a dealer or mechanic. The current and failure mileages were 90,000. Updated 09/15/08 *bf update 09/22/08. *jb

Dt*: the contact stated after coming to a full stop at a crossover, the automatic transmission seized completely. A rattling noise, then a bump was heard inside the vehicle prior to the incident. The vehicle had to be towed to the dealer who determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The contact expressed concern because the vehicle only had 40668 miles. The contact planned to notify the manufacturer after filing a complaint with the nhtsa.

Right rear roaring sound. Tire wear on inside tread. Tire rotation and 4 wheel alignment required. Evidently caused by driving through pothole in street and knocking rear torsion bars out of alignment on right side. Very cheaply built. *jb

The vehicle engine check light illuminates while driving, the vehicle is experiencing loss of coolant and the blower motor is blowing out cool air instead of heat. The vehicle was taken to the repair shop. The mechanic informed the consumer that the problem is with a crack in the intake manifold gasket. The dealer or the manufacturer was not notified at this time. *nm

Consumer was driving at 25 mph and heard a severe rattling coming from the engine compartment. Consumer discovered that the main electrical harness which was not bracketed properly. The harness also came in contact with the serpentine belt. Dealer examined the vehicle but was unable to resolve the problem. *ak

While driving and coming to complete stop automatic transmission doesn't shift properly from the first gear to the second gear. Also, had a brake problem. Dealer notified. *ak

Rear driver's side seat belt will not latch properly. Also, intermittently the passenger's side rear will not latch properly. The dealer replaced the belts, but the consumer believed that the problem would recur. *ak

The transmission completely seized up. The car was able to shift into any gear, but the car would not move forward or backwards. The planetary gears (2) were stripped. The transmission had to be rebuilt.*ak

Tl* the contact owns a 2001 chevrolet lumina. The contact stated that when the cruise control was activated, the vehicle accelerated independently. The contact also stated that the wipers and turn signals activated intermittently. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 175,000.
