NHTSA Mandated Recalls
  • Recall 113532 [USA]: If the engine start/stop button gets stuck in the housing, road vibrations may cause the engine to shut off unexpectedly while the vehicle is being driven, increasing the risk of a crash.
Nissan north america, inc. (nissan) is recalling certain model year 2014 versa sedan vehicles manufactured july 16, 2013, to january 29, 2014, 2013-2014 cube vehicles manufactured july 3, 2013, to october 21, 2013, and 2013-2014 juke vehicles manufactured july 3, 2013, to october 22, 2013. When exposed to hot temperatures, the affected vehicles have an engine start/stop button that may stick inside the button housing.
nissan will notify owners, and dealers will modify the start/stop switch housing, free of charge. The recall began on august 4, 2015. Owners may contact nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.
owners may also contact the national highway traffic safety administration vehicle safety hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (tty 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.Safercar.Gov.

  • Recall 112877 [USA]: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source could cause a vehicle fire.
Nissan north america, inc. (nissan) is recalling certain model year 2012-2014 nissan juke, 2012-2013 infiniti m56, qx56, and 2014-2015 infiniti q70 (v8 engine vehicles only), and qx80 vehicles. The fuel pressure sensors may not have been sufficiently tightened during production. As a result, the fuel pressure sensor may loosen with vehicle usage and cause a fuel leak.
nissan will notify owners, and dealers will re-torque the fuel pressure sensors free of charge. The recall began on january 25, 2015. Owners may contact nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.
owners may also contact the national highway traffic safety administration vehicle safety hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (tty 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.Safercar.Gov.This is an expansion of recall 12v-069

  • Recall R/2014/167 [UK]: Fuel may leak
On affected vehicles the fuel pressure sensor may not have been tightened to the correct specification. Heat and engine vibration may cause the sensor to loosen and in extreme cases allow fuel to leak.
tighten fuel pressure sensor on affected vehicles

  • Recall R/2015/133 [UK]: Engine push start switch may malfunction
On affected models with a push start ignition switch the switch may remain in the pressed position and not return after switching the engine on. If the vehicle continues to be driven in this condition the emergency engine stop function may operate and cause the engine to unintentionally stop.
inspect and where necessary modify the push start switch housing.

  • Recall 2015282 [Canada]: Electrical
On certain vehicles, due to a manufacturing defect the start/stop button could stick inside of its housing. If this occurs, vibration could cause the electrical components inside the button to contact repeatedly in quick succession and initiate the emergency engine shut off procedure while the vehicle is in motion. This could result in increased steering and braking effort, a loss of motive power and would disable the supplemental restraint systems (srs), increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will inspect and repair defective start/stop switch as necessary.

  • Recall 2014539 [Canada]: Fuel supply
On certain vehicles, the fuel pressure sensor connected to the engine fuel delivery rail may not have been sufficiently tightened during vehicle assembly. Should the pressure sensor loosen, fuel could leak past a gasket used in the connection between the sensor and the rail. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will inspect the pressure sensor and tighten to specification. Note: this is an expansion of recall 2012-074. Vehicles that were repaired under the previous campaign are not affected because that remedy would have corrected the subject condition.

To ensure accuracy and for your safety, it is recommended to do a free VIN recall check here or here [USA] - UK - Canada.

Pulled my car out of the driveway onto the street when the left front wheel fell off and the front of the car crashed to the ground.. Had the car towed to dealer, the diagnosis-ball joint control arms and axle. 1900.00 worth of repairs. Only taken to dealer for service. Last taken to dealer feb 2020 for 4 new tires. The car has 42000 miles. Thank god i wasn't on the expressway traveling at 65mph. This is definitely a life safety problem. Contacted nissan corporate and lodged a complaint. Thus car was bought new in 2013. I had no prior warning of anything wrong with the car

My car after 80,000 miles started to have severe engine and driving issues. I was in a construction zone on a highway with the speed limit of 75mph and my transmission started to act up. I was low on gas so i filled it up and when i start back on the highway it would gain no speed and the rpm's would shoot up to 6. I road on this road for about 15-20 minutes at 35-50 miles per hour until i could find and exit and a side road to get me to a safe stopping point. I had to shut my car off two time during the duration and both times there wasn't a shoulder so i was in the grass. It was incredibly unsafe, and i found out two of my best friends had this same exact thing happen with their car. Since they have quit making this car and i have found most of the models made have recalls, i find it irresponsible to not inform everyone that has purchased this car of potential issues. I am a 23 years old women and it is remarkably unsafe to think i have a reliable care that out of no where breaks down, after i have done my due diligence to keep it in the best shape. *tr

My 2013 juke sl broke down while i was driving. The car slowed down and then came to a stop and wouldn't start. It was towed to a nissan service dealership. They found that the engine timing chain broke and damaged my engine. I waited weeks to hear back from nissan corporate office. They will do nothing. I bought the car brand new and doesn't have 60,000 miles on it. The nissan dealership will give me 500.00 for trade in. 2011-2013 jukes have had this faulty timing chain. I can't believe nissan won't do anything for me.

Since purchasing my 2013 nissan juke i have continually had problems driving on the hwy, especially when it's hot out, driving my car on major hwy (i-5 interstate), i drive from ca to or about 5 times a year my car will suddenly, no warning light, decelerate from 70 mph to 30 mph almost causing me to get in a accident every single time it happens right now i'm on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere and i'm just hoping that my car is going to start again i barely made it to the off-ramp this is a documented all over the web by hundreds of owners! The 2013 nissan juke this turbocharger or whatever it is with the engine that is making this happen is so serious i could die on the freeway and i don't want to die when nissan should be replacing these it's a known fact and nissan is not acknowledging it if you look at the blogs and other complaints online you will see thousands of people have complained about it too i don't want to die because of this and i can't afford to put in a new turbo charger or a new engine in my car when this is a known issue!! Nissan has a legal responsibility to replace these parts for us for their customers and our suffering from this. It is beyond an accident waiting to happen when you were on an interstate freeway in your car goes from 70 miles an hour down to 30 or 40 and will barely go over that you can barely even get off the side of the road without getting run over by major huge trucks it is a total safety problem and it needs to be addressed. There are no warning lights or anything that even shows you what it could possibly be and people who go to nissan and say this happened they always say the same thing well it didn't happen for us while we were driving it so we don't know what it is they know very well exactly what it is. Thousands or hundreds of people who are complaining about this are all not lying.

I went outside to start my car to warm it up, i live in michigan and this happened during winter so it was between 15-25 degrees that night. I closed the door after i got out of my stationary vehicle, and the sunroof shattered. I did not close it hard, i do not slam my car doors. There was no chips or cracks in the sunroof previous to it shattering. I read online about nissan having a recall for their sunroofs in another vehicle, something about faulty glass temperment and/or they used a thinner glass to save money.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 nissan juke. While driving 70 mph, the vehicle independently decelerated to 40 mph. The accelerator pedal was depressed in an attempt to regain speed, but it failed to function. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was equipped with a hum safety device that notified the driver when the speed exceeded 65 mph, which captured the speed at the time of the failure. The contact mentioned that a sixteen wheeler was behind her when the failure occurred and honked at her due to almost being rear ended. The contact called bedford nissan (18115 rockside rd, bedford, oh 44146) and was informed that she could drop off the vehicle. The dealer was unaware as to when the vehicle would be diagnosed and there were no loaners available for the contact. The vehicle was currently parked at the contact's home. A month before the failure, when attempting to accelerate, the contact heard an abnormal noise coming from the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 63,000.

My wife was driving on a crowded interstate at approximately 70 mph. Vehicle suddenly decelerated to about 40 mph. No power when depressing the accelerator. Pulled over to side of highway. Stopped and restarted. Vehicle accelerated back to 70 mph then again decelerated back to 40 mph. Limped to the next rest area. Vehicle was eventually towed to our local nissan dealer. Problem was later diagnosed as a failed cvt transmission and the vehicle was deemed unsafe to drive! The transmission was subsequently replaced at a cost of $4825! I had to assume the dealer diagnosed the problem correctly. The vehicle had approximately 124500 miles. Nissan cvt transmissions are notorious for failure with some models powertrain warranty extended up to 120000 miles. Mine was not one of them!

I have a timing belt noise that my mechanic says is from a manufacturing issue. Nissan refuses to comp a diagnostic at the dealership. I should not have to pay for a diagnostic or the repair if it is manufacturing, which my research tells me it probably is. Nissan customer service hung up on me.

While driving at 80 mph on the highway, i was unable to maintain speed. I suddenly lost abilities to control my speed. I proceeded to pull over and shut the car off. Restarted minutes later with no warning lights present. This happened several times getting the car to a rest stop. I believe it's the torque converter in the transmission that maybe the issue.

The vehicle started loosing power and stalling very often during normal driving in the city. Took it to the nissan dealership and they said the turbo went out and debris was sucked into the engine causing damage. Now they say we need an engine, $6000 for a used one or $14,000 for a new one, on a vehicle we still own $7400. That's insane and it's the second time something like this happens to us with a nissan engine, a very similar thing happened with our 2005 pathfinder, had to put a used engine on that one too. We are never buying a nissan again plus they take forever to take responsibility for manufacturer defects and make recalls.

Driving on highway averaging 80 mph. I was not using cruise control. After 4 hours of driving the vehicle begins to decelerate. I pressed the gas pedal further to accelerate, yet it had no effect. The vehicle speed dropped to 60 mph. I put on hazards. I shifted the automatic gear shift to manual and attempted to downshift. The gear indicator on the dashboard showed 7 (top gear), and as i attempted to downshift, the transmission would not downshift. The '7' gear indicator began to flash. The vehicle continued to decelerate to 50 mph. This happened within a matter of 10 seconds. I immediately made my way to the shoulder of the highway. During this time, the check engine light never flashed, nor did any other indicator light come on. The temperature gauge was well below the halfway point. I parked, and raised the hood to examine the vehicle. The fluids were all at recommended levels. After 5 minutes, i began to drive again on the shoulder. The vehicle slowly accelerated and would not go over 50 mph. I pulled off to the next exit and drove to a gas station. I double checked the fluids and used the owners manual to help identify any dashboard indicator lights that may signify that something is malfunctioning. Nothing showed. I kept the car off for over 20 minutes. I started the car back up and it ran normally without problems. There has been 4 other times i can recall where this has happened. I have taken it to the nissan dealer back in 2016 reporting this issue, and they have not been able to recreate the issue. I am currently sitting at a nissan dealer 300 miles from home as i am on a trip and they still cannot figure it out. This all happened on a 70mph highway as my 11 yr old daughter was in the car with me, and had cars and semi trucks swerving to avoid hitting us. I have a 16 yr old son who drives my car, and i have serious concern for his safety.

While traveling at 55mph on the highway, heard a clunk from the engine compartment and loss of propulsion power with an dry gear noise. Turned off the car and the next day it ran smooth down a street until i accelerated to get on a highway. The same noise appeared accompanying a check engine light and immediate reduction of acceleration while attempting to make a right turn. Turbo boost fault was recorded in the ecu. Took it in for service and the result was the turbo came apart. Dealer said they never seen a turbo apart with no signs of improper maintenance. Service bulletin nhtsa id: 10109203 and tsb id: ntb16-035a has talks about an engine cooling system turbocharger service. Oil line replacement required with turbocharger service. The turbocharger part number has been rescinded and replaced with a newer model. The dealer informed me that the car is unsafe to drive as the internal turbo components can come loose and damage the engine. This vehicle has had the nhtsa campaign number: 14v683000 recall completed. And a manufactures recall to replace the timing belt. If this issue were to happen when crossing a highway with traffic, the safe distance can be significantly reduced to the lack of acceleration power.

Driving on highway averaging 80 mph. I was not using cruise control. After 30 minutes of driving the vehicle begins to decelerate. I pressed the gas pedal further to accelerate, yet it had no effect. The vehicle speed dropped to 60 mph. I put on hazards. The vehicle continued to decelerate to 50 mph. This happened within a matter of seconds. I immediately made my way to the shoulder of the highway. During this time, the check engine light never flashed, nor did any other indicator light come on. The temperature gauge was well below the halfway point. I parked, and raised the hood to examine the vehicle. The fluids were all at recommended levels. After 5 minutes, i began to drive again. There has been 10 or more other times i can recall where this has happened. This is crap and makes me wish i never got this juke. I have been to the nissan dealers all around me and no one can explain this problem to me. There needs to be some sort of recall to fix this dangerous problem. I do not need cars almost rear ending me and drivers pissed off at me because my car wont go. And who has time to wait 20 to 40 minutes to wait for whatever the issue is to correct itself!

I am a frustrated owner of a 2013 nissan juke sl. I am the first and only owner. At about 20k miles, i took the car in for its regularly scheduled maintenance and complained that the vehicle was noises while driving on the highway. I was given, what i know now to be the textbook response, 'i'm sorry we drove the car and could not duplicate the issue you're complaining about'. 30k miles, i took the car in for its regularly maintenance with the following complaint: the car is extremely noises on the highway that i can barely hear my music, thus i have to appear obnoxious to surrounding drivers because my music is louder than theirs, so that i can hear it over the noise coming from under my hood which sounds like an airplane. Furthermore, when i step on the gas pedal to increase speed, the car is slow to respond. Once again, nissan claims they are not able to pinpoint the issue. 45k miles, the car goes in for its regularly maintenance with the following complaint: while driving on the highway for 3 hours, the car will loose power'it is still noises as all hell, but the car will slow down without warning. I have been high beamed and honked at. This is dangerous to me, my passengers and other drivers on the road. The car doesn't overheat and all fluid levels are fine. Once again, nissan claims they are not able to pinpoint the issue. This past weekend, i am doing my 4.5 hour road trip again in nissan's deathtrap they have fondly nicknamed juke. Like clock work, after 3 hours on the highway, the car starts to slowdown, i called nissan while it was happening, but he can barely hear me over the loud noise (jet engine sound emitting from under my hood). I took the car into nissan who could not do anything because they don't look into problems like this on the weekend.

While driving my vehicle at higher speeds (65-75) it randomly loses power. There is no reaction when i step on the gas so i have to carefully steer out of traffic before the car comes to a complete standstill. This happens several time while on a 100 mile trip. Once pulled over i have to wait several minutes before the gas pedal responds but then after several more minutes it happens again. I have been to two different nissan dealerships only to be informed since it did not happen to them while test driving it and it did not show up on their computer there was nothing they could do. I cannot drive it anymore or sell it to an unsuspected new owner who could possible get severely injured or die due to this problem.

We purchased a brand new nissan juke 2013, including a maintenance and service contract. Over the past 3 years the nissan juke has refused to start dozens of times. We are petrified that it will stop running while we drive it. Often it will not even start with jumper cables. Despite having the juke in and out of the nissan dealership shop over the last three years, nissan has been completely unable to determine and fix the defect. Each time nissan simply charges the battery, or replaces it. On at least 8 separate occasions nissan has cleared the juke as ok to drive, only to have it fail to start within several months. We have been stranded many times, and now carry jumper cables and 2 hand held power starters, though these often fail to start the car. We do not want to resell this vehicle on the used market to unsuspecting consumers since the juke in its defective condition is clearly a serious hazard to users and others on the road. We asked nissan on april 12, 2017 to repurchase the vehicle, but they refused by letter dated april 21, 2017 since our lemon law only protects buyers for 20 months from purchase. We have a complete spreadsheet with attached invoices with complete details of all nissan's attempts to fix the juke and their excuses. This nissan juke has been the most unreliable and dangerous car we have ever owned, and nissan's failure to adequately fix this defective car over the past 3 years has been shameful. This vehicle should be taken off the road before someone gets killed. While we were able to upload the spreadsheet, the exhibits were too large, and can be emailed on request.

I purchased this vehicle brand new. Up to date on all servicing. 81000 miles. On 1/12/2017 was driving vehicle and went to enter into highway. While entering into highway cars speed started to decline at a fast rate down to 25 on a 70 mph highway. Almost causing and accident. Was making a pop/whistling sound under hood. Could not drive above 40 mph without the sound getting louder and worse. Called my mechanic and took it straight there. When hooked up to diagnostic machine it showed it was the turbo. Tried to drive car home but could not make it up hills. This is a safety hazard. Loss in performance in the turbo causes speed loss at a drastic rate. This could be fatal in situations where acceleration is needed. Part went out with no prior warnings. I could have been struck on the highway or caused an accident entering on it so slowly. Contacted nissan and to my surprise there has been no recall on this part even though i have read hundreds of complaints on the same issue.

I am very angry.. I wish i had done my research before purchasing my 2013 nissan juke. The extended warranty is a joke. My son and i were nearly in an accident on the highway due to the faulty turbo. The car began to decelerate and went from 65mph to below 20mph. Nissan is declining the claim. I even submitted proof of oil changes and etc... I have registered a complaint to nissan since this has happened, i did research. Juke's from 2011-2014 have turbo issues. How can all these people be wrong?? The 1st time, happened in march. I took it in to the shop and they 'repaired" the car. Then it happened again. This time they are saying it is the turbo.. I registered a complaint with nissan case #22368872 they said they will call me tomorrow. I need this resolved. It is very scary and dangerous.

When driving my nissan juke the speed started to decrease. As i pressed on the gas pedal, it would not go any faster. I even pressed the gas pedal all the way to the floor and it still would not increase in speed. From 70 mph it decreases to between 40 and 50 mph on the interstate. This is extremely dangerous. I could have gotten hit and road rage is quite real. It took at least, and i mean at the least, 30 minutes to where it would increase in speed. I thought it was going to stop on the middle of the interstate. Very scary and very real. My juke was also making a buzzing/hissing noise under the hood. Especially when pressing the gas pedal.

The door locks on the car lock at 15 mph and do not unlock until the car is stopped and put into park and motor turned off. Or i must remember to manually unlock the door. I contacted nissan to have this feature turned off, cast #19775143, they told me that the federal gov demands the doors to lock and they cannot turn off the feature. I am 67 years old, we had an old lady in my area have a medical emergency and hit some gas pumps. A fire started and she was locked into the car. A young man broke the window to get her out. What if he hadn't been there? Nissan said it is to stop ejection, what are seat belts for ? This is a stupid feature and will cause some big law suits. By the way i was able to turn off the feature on my toyota

My wife was involved in an accident, where the vehicle rolled over. On the way home from the hospital, we went to the location the vehicle was towed to remove her personal effects. While inspecting the vehicle, i found that her seat belt (drivers) was torn in two pieces. She had removed herself from the vehicle prior to police and ems arrival, and she didn't not use any objects to tear the seatbelt. The tow operator, whom we saw at the tow yard, said the seat belt was already torn when he was moving the vehicle. *tr

On wed, january 21, 2015, i arrived home around 7pm and went inside. I was not in the house 5 minutes when i heard a massive explosion in my driveway. I then saw a bright orange glow outside my window, which was my car engulfed in flames. The fire dept suppressed the fire and that night i called my insurance company to report the incident. The car (a lease), was incinerated and deemed a total loss by the insurance adjuster. My insurance paid off the car to the leasing company. When i researched this issue, i saw a letter the nhtsa sent to nissan north america regarding a loose fuel pressure sensor in my 2013 juke and prompted them to issue recalls. That letter was dated dec 8, 2014. My car was, in fact, on the recall list and i finally got my letter one week after the incident. Nissan was very slow to inform their customers of a very serious and potentially fatal issue. Nissan corporate did an investigation on my car and focused on the fuel pressure sensor. After 1 month of waiting for them to contact me, they called me wed, february 25th, 2015 telling me that the fuel pressure sensor was not the issue, however they are not able to pinpoint what exactly did happen. They admit that no external factors could have contributed to this fire and that it was, indeed, an issue with the car. The only thing they said they could do for me was offer a discount on a new nissan, however i told them i would never drive another nissan, especially since they aren't sure what made the car blow up. I know in my heart the fuel pressure sensor was to blame. Why else would my car be engulfed in an obvious fuel fire in my driveway. I find it horrible that they are not accepting responsibility for their faulty engineering. You may want to look more into this since they "don't know what caused it". Also, they said they could not release the report to me as it's nissan's property. *js

I was driving my wife's 2013 nissan juke which was purchased in december of 2013. I was driving the car by myself for the second time and therefore i was not accustomed to using the keyless ignition. I stopped to check the mail box approximately 100 feet on top of a small hill on the road of my condominium complex, where the mail box was located. I was focused on the process of using the new push button system of turning off the ignition and consequently did not shift the car into park. I turned the car off and exited the car while it was still in drive, left the door open and proceeded to walk over to my mail box. I did not recall hearing any type of alarm alerting me to the fact that the car was not in park. Once i realized the car was rolling, i ran after it hoping to catch it before it hit someone fearing that someone could be seriously injured or killed. I ran over some damp grass fell to the ground so hard i severely dislocated my right shoulder severing 3 rotator cuff tendons requiring extensive surgery. Also i was running so hard that i tore the muscles in the back of my legs and severely lacerated my right forearm as well. The car came to a stop after it brushed up against my neighbor's garage causing approximately $4,000.00 worth of damage to the vehicle and also approximately $1,200.00 worth of damage to the garage, lawn and shrubs. I continued to my destination and the speed was showing my speed plus 40. I then shut the car off for approx. 10 minutes and the speedometer reset to 0. 2nd and 3rd incident, december 18, and 27 2015, i was on the highway traveling at approx. 70 mph, i looked at the speedometer and it was at 120+ mph, my initial reaction was to slow down causing the traffic behind me to slow down and swerve around me. The 3 incidents were reported to the nissan dealer, i was told that nothing could be done until they could see the problem and get a code. I feel that this is a major safety issue for not only myself and my family , but also for the other people that are on the road with me. *tr

I purchased nissan juke/nismo in 9/13. At the end of 5/14 something happened. While i am in a parking lot i started my car and speedometer went to over 140 and stopped at 60mph and i am even not moving. When i increase speed to 5mph of courseit increased to 75-80mph. And my rpm's show s 4-5! I got to my home/garage and turn off my car. After 10-15 min and started car again. At this point seems that computer/electric system was reset. About 2 weeks later this is happened again when rpm's and speedometer shows "big numbers". I set up an appointment on 104th & federal (denver, co). They keep my car for few hours but they didn't find any issues. I have a paper which says "we need to see this vehicle during active failure". On 9/27 when i started car this is happened again. My speedometer shows that i am driving 90 mph when i drove less than 30 mph. I stop on next small parking lot and i took a pictures and i took video. After that i tried to restart my car several times and it's always shows over 140mph (the arrow for speedometer goes to the end!) and stops at 60mph while car in "park" mode. Maybe after 5th attempt it did reset again and i drove straight to service nissan with big hope that service still open. But it was after 6pm and they were closed. I set up new appointment with nissan service this wed 10/9 at 9am. I wrote an e-mail to nissan usa and they already contact me and we discuss what i should do. If 2nd inspection will show nothing i will send those papers from my 1st and 2nd inspection. I can send you pictures and video with proof that something wrong, just bad behavior. I am not even talk about emotional stress (as women!) but the money which i spend and still paying - it's a really big deal for me. Summary - speedometer and tachometer goes over normal scale. *tr

As the weather got warmer i tried to use my ac and it just blew hot air. I have no knowledge of vehicles and assumed because it was the first time i had turned it on i would have to let it get broken in. So the next hot day came and again i turned my ac on and no cool air. So i contacted my dealer. I informed them of my situation and i took it in. I then was contacted and informed that i had a rock in my ac condenser. Of course i was so upset when they said it would be 800$ to repair this. So i have been looking into this and have found that this is actually a common issue with the jukes being that the openings next to the fog lights have no screens and the condenser is completely exposed. I have found many blogs where people are having the same issues. I just like everyone else just has had to eat the cost of replacing the parts and cost of labor. I just want this to be aware because this was my first ever new car and i am having a bad experience. *js

I was driving to work on a major tollway freeway in houston, texas at about 5:30 in the morning. A rock flew up and hit my passenger side foglight and shattered it. I just bought this car three weeks prior. I feel that this will be a constant problem. Whoever decided to put glass foglights low in the front is not very smart. Engineeringly speaking these foglights are not tilted to help with the impact of debris on a freeway. They should have thought about this a little more when they made them. Not to mention, i bought this car brand new. I did not expect any problems so soon. I did not purchase and extended warranty, i figured the car would be covered, being that it was new. I was shocked to find out the foglight alone is $175.00 and the labor is another 300.00 dollars. This seems extremely expensive for the average person to spend when i just gave them $ 21,000.00 not more than six weeks ago. I have since then parked my brand new car in the garage and am driving my old reliable vehicle. Not only can i not afford a new foglight every time a rock hits my car, but i am thoroughly dissatisfied. The company will not cover it. I feel jilted. The problem with the foglight is four fold- it is made of glass, it will take half a day for and experience mechanic from the dealer only to replace this bulb, they have to tear into other parts on this nissan just to change the bulb, the lights are not tilted so rocks will always be a direct impact shatter. Maybe they could change the style to one panel like the old 2005 cars. It is too expensive to replace a single bulb kit. I hoping with this letter that atleast, the manufacturers will change this somehow. Either make the foglights out of some kind of plastic, or change the bumper altogether, so the lights are at the top, near the hood of the car. I am so sad! *tr

We purchased a brand new nissan juke on november 16, 2013 at midway nissan located in phoenix arizona. The buying process was quite unusual in that it took greater than six hours to meet with finance to sign the paperwork once we shook hands on the deal. I was not pleased spending this inordinate amount of time at the dealer but they offered a gift card to us to as an apology, which we accepted and appreciated the gesture. We received a survey about the juke shortly after our purchase, which we promptly filled out and sent back. Of note, we indicated on the survey that the juke persistently pulls to the right while driving. A few months later, i received a call from tim williams in consumer affairs. Tim said he was reaching out to us because of the issue identified on the survey we completed. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about tim, as he conducted himself in a professional, kind, and sincere manner. Tim arranged for a technical specialist to evaluate my vehicle at midway niacin. My car was at the dealer for three distinct visits, which totaled 22 days. After much work and multiple replacement parts being installed, i was told that my car was as good as it is going to get? Because the pull in steering was now within specifications. In essence, my car still pulled to the right but not to the extent that was deemed unacceptable by niacin. The pulling to the right continued to be a concern for me despite reassurances. This is the best driving juke on the road now. Over the past year, the pulling has gotten dramatically worse so i opened a new complaint with consumer affairs. They did not help me at all this fine, in fact, the issue was blamed on the tires and my case arbitrarily closed. I feel my vehicle is a safety hazard since it pulls to the right significantly. I must keep the wheel turned to the left at all times while driving.

While parked in our driveway for more than 30 hrs, my 2013 juke burst into flames. The fire dept did not find any evidence of arson or tampering and there was no weather occurrence to explain why it became engulfed in flames. The fire started in the engine compartment at 12:40am. Nissan has said that they examined the car and their technical specialist found " no evidence of a product problem, failure, or malfunction that may have caused or contributed to this incident". Nissan will not tell me why the car burned up, just they're not responsible. Why would a low milage, well maintained vehicle catch fire unless there was some kind of product failure? I was lucky that only property was damaged but i feel nissan usa is not taking the incident seriously.
