• Recall 93941 [USA]: Leaking power steering fluid can spray onto hot exhaust parts, increasing the risk of an engine compartment fire.
  Bmw is recalling certain model year 2012 x5 vehicles equipped with a diesel engine and 2013 x5 and x6 vehicles. Due to a machining error of the steering gear surface, power steering fluid may leak.

  Issue: this recall is for certain vehicles that had an airbag inflator replaced as a part of an earlier recall campaign. This recall provides a final repair. Long-term exposure to high absolute humidity and temperature, combined with high temperature cycling, may eventually degrade the propellant contained in the driver-front airbag. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. If the airbag inflator ruptures, fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants or cause damage to the airbag assembly, preventing its proper function. Safety risk: if the vehicle is involved in a crash requiring an airbag deployment, the airbag inflator could rupture and create a risk of injury. • Recall 2017113 [Canada]: Powertrain
  Certain vehicles may have been manufactured with defective front driveshaft universal joint seals, which could allow water and/or dirt to enter the universal joint, causing accelerated wear and/or corrosion, and resulting in vibration. If the vehicle continues to be operated in this state, the universal joint could eventually break, potentially damaging surrounding components and rendering the vehicle inoperative. This could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction : dealers will replace the front drive shaft. Note: this is an expansion of recall 2016-226.

• Recall 2016142 [Canada]: Airbag
  On certain vehicles, the driver frontal airbag inflator could produce excessive internal pressure during airbag deployment. Increased pressure may cause the inflator to rupture, which could allow fragments to be propelled toward vehicle occupants, increasing the risk of injury. This could also damage the airbag module, which could prevent proper deployment. Failure of the airbag to fully deploy during a crash (where deployment is warranted) could increase the risk of personal injury to the seat occupant. Correction: dealers will replace the front driver air bag inflator or air bag module, depending on the vehicle model.

  On certain vehicles, the steering gear was manufactured incorrectly and, as a result, a steering fluid leak could develop. Loss of power steering fluid could cause a loss of steering power assist, which may result in a crash. Comments: i took the vehicle in to be serviced as i was getting a driver stability malfunction error and when driving over potholes or any uneven street/highway, wheel would jerk extremely hard causing me to enter other lanes. Vehicle was pulling hard and i heard noise every time i drove over uneven roads. I was also getting an anti-trap malfunction for sunroof error message. Issues: vehicle sputtered, shut off in the middle of an intersection and would not start, vehicle still pulling and needed to replace the two front tires. Comments: due to the vehicle malfunctioning, sputtering and not starting, i was stalled in the middle of an intersection and could have been injured in an accident. Other motorists helped push the vehicle to the side of the road to get me out of the way of oncoming traffic. Issues: 2nd occurrence: faulty fuel pump and ekps (< one month after first repair). Vehicle needed right front tire replaced. Comments: upon driving my vehicle onto the dealership lot to have my tire replaced, as soon as the technician got in the vehicle, it stalled and would not start again. Issue: 2nd occurrence: left front thrust arm ball joint loose causing clunk in front end. Issue: 3rd occurrence: left lower control arm bent. Wheel alignment needed due to bent control arm. Comments: my husband was driving on the highway with our children in the car and the tire and steering wheel began to jerk. The steering wheel had to be turned all the way to the right for the vehicle to go straight on the highway. These issues put my family in danger and could have severely caused my family harm and/or harm to other vehicles.

Takata recall

While driving my vehicle at a speed of approximately 30 mph, i shifted into manual mode, downshifting i order to evade an aggressive driver. I then shifted back to automatic, at approximately 45-50 mph, at which point the engine cut out , the engine light came on and steering was non powered. The car also slipped into neutral. I received an error about stability and was unable to restart the car for several attempts. The car did this 3 times before i reached my destination and was able to allow it to sit. It wasn't until later that evening that it was able to be started and drive successfully home.

Bmw dealership in georgia, tbilisi is liar. I visited them for customer car package. Under this ccp must be replaced some parts without checking and some of them after checking. That dealership chamged me only air mass sensors when bmw ag states that vent pipe bank 1 and 2, connecting line bank 1 and 2, aor mass sensors, intake air duct must be replaced on every n63s. Injectors, vacuum pump, chain and some orher parts must be replaced after checking if they are faulty. That dealership lied me that they received new documentations from bmw and only air mass sennsors must be changed. They are liars. My car is under burning risk because they changed only air mass sensors and did not performed the ccp properly. They did not check my timing chain too. My contact number +995 591227222

Vehicle demonstrates turbo lag. In the stationary position when you press the gas pedal, the vehicle pauses for quite some time but the rpm rises than the vehicle will move forward. This is very concerning as one tries to enter heavy fast moving traffic. Especially when you don't know when the vehicle will move forward as the turbo decides to kick in. Because of the lag, i've placed myself and others at risk of injury as i attempt to enter traffic. When you see an opening to enter traffic, that opening is gone as the lag prevents the car from moving forward at the time required to enter traffic safely. Instead your propelled into traffic, cutting off other drivers that have to break to avoid a collision. This is a daily issue that should be addressed.

Due to an issue with the power steering pump, power steering fluid is leaking all around the gear and checked my vin and is not on the recall. It is very unlikely that a 3 to 4 year old vehicle may have the same issue as 2013 bmw x6 steering nhtsa campaign #12v267000 and not be part of this campaign. I am very concerned and would like for an investigation to be done.

I have two recalls on my bmw x6 (2013). One is for the air bag and the other is for the drive shaft universal joints. I have been waiting over a year to have my airbag replaced (united bmw in roswell ga). I just recently received another recall notice concerning my drive shaft universal joints and these parts are also unavailable. I have a 16 month old son who i drive in this car and this poses a safety issue. I undersatnd recalls, however, i have been waiting over a year to have my air bags replaced and now i receive this notice. I am writing this complaint in hopes that someone will contact me and remedy this problem. This is a major safety issue for my 16 month old son. Water pump issues, dealer supposenly fixed months ago. Car is like new with 40k + miles and already water pump replaced. Then noticed smoke & burning smell like possible fire from engine area a week ago while car in idle, i then took it to dealer next day and something wasnt replaced by dealer during water pump exchange/replacement. I think is a lie, i certainly think vehichle have that steering issue. Also passenger door from inside didnt open anymore which is a serious safety issue. But car like i said is like new to me for it to be 3 years old with 40k miles. Just major faults for such age of car. Bad bmw maker for pricey car and so many engine / electrical issue issues. I see why not many on us roads. 12/2015 something in water pump area replaced agian, driver passenger door from inside didnt open anymore, front cameras didnt operate anymore/corroded supposenly, coolant was gone (but water pump replaced 2014) so either leak or dealer was cheap putting back in, now since all these repairs car drives rough. And yes all was done on 1 visit at dealer. And i forgot to mention to them my seatbelt locks on me so i drive with it clamp already and just duck underneath strap when ready to drive. Windows go up and down on its own (state police witness to that)

Upon on starting the vehicle and dropping into drive or reverse the vehicle accelerates on its on , the the tachometer jumps to 1000 and even up to 1500 without touching the accelerator. I have brought the vehicle three time to different dealerships and they could fix the issue. I have almost collided with multiple vehicles in parking lots and almost ran into our building, i have to step on the break very hard to reduce the car lunging forward, the car still travels with my brake on, if there were a child or person in front of me they would be injured severely, this is very unsafe. I have video of the tachometer going from 0-1000 almost coming to a stall, it has stalled two times in the past.
