In the affected vehicles, water may enter between the hood and windshield and cause the front wiper link ball joint to corrode, possibly resulting in the wiper link separating and the wipers becoming inoperative.

  Due to a nonconformity in the manufacture of the alternator pulley (free wheel type) the contact surface of the pulley might be deformed. In use the tightening torque of the alternator pulley can decrease resulting in the pulley detaching from the alternator. Should this happen the driver will notice reduced power steering assistance and the warning lamp for the charging system will illuminate.

This could cause a loss of vehicle control. Safety risk: a loss of control can create the risk of a crash. If no significant corrosion is found, the dealer will spray a sealing and anti-corrosion coating both inside and on the cross-member.   On certain 2012 to 2014 model year vehicles, due to improper manufacturing of the oil seal boss in certain transfer assemblies, the oil seal can become out of position and allow automatic transmission fluid to enter into the transfer assembly, resulting in reduced automatic transmission fluid pressure in the transaxle. Early failure of the transmission on outlanders is known problem and puts drivers at risk for serious injury when the car goes into a safe mode leaving the car stranded in the road. Tl* the contact owns a 2010 mitsubishi outlander. While the vehicle was at schaumburg mitsubishi (660 east gulf rd, schaumburg, il) undergoing routine maintenance, it was discovered that both lower control arms and cross members sustained severe rusting and corrosion. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 16v458000 (structure); however, the contact stated that the vehicle experienced the same failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 75,000.

There is some problem with brake. The abs and asr lights are on. So i decided to go to the mechanic. The mechanic checked the car and he told me abs pump is broken. Started when i was driving.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 mitsubishi outlander. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 18v069000 (engine and engine cooling); however, the part needed for the repair was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The vehicle was taken to mitsubishi motor sales of caribbean (located at pr-167, bayamon, toa baja 00953, pr, (855) 251-8715), but the part was not available for the repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

After my abs, tcs, and check engine lights came on, i started to research what my problem was. Come to find out the abs pump motor is getting low voltage resulting in poor braking and overall driveability in any weather. In my research i found that this is a very common problem with many mitsubishi's around this year. I was completely fine with replacing the parts because the car isn't safe for my children, but when looking into the cost of replacement of such a small part, i (along with many other people) can not afford to spend ~$2000 to make our cars safe. If this has truly been a problem for so long why hasn't mitsubishi handled it yet. Until i can find a cheap replacement or if mitsubishi cares about their customers safety, i will be driving my 2010 outlander with no abs or traction control. Which is very unsafe.

I have attempted to mane an appointment to fix 6 recalls my vehicle has, with no luck its been 2 months and no call back.
