• Recall 151854 [USA]: The lack of an image in the back-up camera display increases the risk of a crash.
  Nissan north america, inc. (nissan) is recalling certain 2018-2019 nissan altima, armada, frontier, kicks, leaf, maxima, murano, nv, nv200, pathfinder, rogue, rogue sport, sentra, titan, titan diesel, versa note and versa sedan vehicles, as well as infiniti q50, q60, qx30 and qx80 vehicles. Additionally included are 2019 nissan gt-r and taxi and infiniti qx50, qx60, q70, q70l vehicles. The back-up camera and display settings can be adjusted such that the rear view image is no longer visible and the system will retain that setting the next time the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 111, "rear visibility."
  nissan will notify owners in phases, having dealers update the back-up camera settings software, free of charge. The recall began november 11, 2019 and all affected vins should be activated. Owners may contact nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 or infiniti customer service at 1-800-662-6200.

• Recall 2019459 [Canada]: Visual system
  Issue: on certain vehicles, the rear view camera system does not return to the default setting when the transmission is shifted to reverse. This could cause a reduction in rear visibility if a driver had previously adjusted the camera display. Canadian regulations require that the rear view image returns to its original setting each time the camera is turned on. Safety risk: reduced rear visibility could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: the company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to update the software for the rear view camera.

When driving this 2019 kicks s. The transmission will rumble on turns or starting to take off. The transmission also has a hard time changing gears when u get to the 3rd gear going about 35 - 40 mph. These new transmissions that nissan is using really need to b recalled to fix these situations.

I was driving on highway and the front collision sensor kept going off. We pulled the vehicle over at our destination and parked. Cleared front cameras shut engine off, and all warning malfunction indicators kept lighting up. 1st no key detected, then brake warning, then head light malfunction, then brake, seat belt, and check engine warnings all flashed at same time. Then after sometime passed brakes locked up, and power to entire car was gone. No lights no nothing. Towed car to dealership where i purchased it, they had it for 2 days and could not find the problem. They had to jump the battery to get it started, then head light malfunction was seen on screen again. Mechanic kept trying to find other issues, but was unsuccessful and the battery was not failing. When i received the car back and tried to start it no key indicator light came on. Then placed key on start button to get it started. They still have no clue what this was. Said it was a fluke. I believe this could be a major problem due to sensors, malfunctioning, since they had been replaced once already, due to malfunctions. Not safe if this happens while driving down the highway, thankfully the car was parked when it occurred. I have included 2 photos shown to ed martin nissan dealership service department, where i towed the car to for diagnostic. While exiting the freeway/slowing to stop at a light, my front collision light came on and no one was ahead of me. While still in motion my vehicles engine shut off and i had to pull the emergency brake to regain control of the vehicle. I put my foot on the break at the light and shifted the car from drive to park. Keeping my foot on the break started the engine with the push button which had trouble turning over and the dash lit up the following lights: master indicator, slip warning and automatic emergency breaking system warning. On the digital display it read something to do with emissions but went away before i could take the photo. When the light turned green i gave gas to the vehicle and it struggled to gain speed over 5 mph for over 1000 feet then went back to normal speeds and the other lights went off and only the check engine light came on and stayed on. The next day as i was pulling out of my driveway to take my vehicle to the dealer, my vehicle shut off again but no display this time, just completely shut off.I've also had issues with the center display and controls since i purchased a vehicle just over a year ago. The radio turns on and off on its own turn the volume up and down on its own which i can sometimes control from the steering wheel but never from the center. Even when using steering wheel controls the radio will do its own thing. So i could be driving with the radio off and it will be on full blast i turn it down with the steering wheel and it will go back to full blast. The very next day after the first incident listed i took my car to the dealership. As i left the radio proved to be not fixed. I immediately went to to fix it & was told a week for the part to come. I contacted corporate after investigation, they would not buy back my car which is just over a year old with 15,500 miles. No receipt given after replacing center consol.

My nissan kicks 2019 have a few problems. First it turn on the sensor of check engine. Also the traction control sensor is on. But the worst of all is that the the front proximity sensor is giving up false alarms and is stopping the car while driving. This is driving me crazy because the car does it on unexpected places. Is this happening only to my car? I am going to take my car for service but it make me feel afraid that it could happen again.
