    On august 11, 2015, nissan north america, inc., submitted a defect information report (dir) describing a condition that may impede the drivers ability to transition quickly and smoothly from the accelerator pedal to the brake pedal in certain model year (my) 2012 through 2015 nissan versa sedans and my 2014 through 2015 nissan versa note vehicles (nhtsa recall no. 15v-507).According to nissans dir, in certain circumstances related to driver foot position and shoe type, the right edge of the driver’s shoe may catch the edge of the center console lower trim panel.Nissan indicated that "this condition could cause a slight delay in the smooth transition between the accelerator pedal and the brake pedal which may increase the braking distance; therefore increasing the risk of a crash."nissans recall instructs dealers to trim the console panel so that the leading edge is at a greater distance from the driver’s foot.Nissan had previously issued a service campaign (nissan campaign id #P5308; tsb #ntb15-033) on april 16, 2015, to provide the remedy for the same set of vehicles before deciding to change the program to a safety recall.Of the approximately 421,305 vehicles covered by recall 15v-507, approximately 122,558 have already been repaired under the service campaign. Odis investigation also examined allegations that an hvac duct in the drivers footwell area may interfere with the drivers right foot in certain circumstances.Odis analysis of all complaints related to foot obstructions in the subject vehicles identified 45 complaints, 7 crashes and 1 minor soft tissue injury.Thirty-five (35) of the complaints, all 7 crashes and the only injury were caused by the trim panel condition which is the subject of the recall.Odi will continue to monitor complaints related to the hvac duct condition.This investigation is closed based on nissans recall.The voqs associated with the closing of this investigation are: 10725339, 10723544, 10711794, 10691631, 10649259, 10640644, 10629161, 10614957, 10610356, 10606832, 10606766, 10606670, 10597004, 10573057, 10503811, and 10498000.

On 06-23-21 my car left me stranded on the side of the road the cvt transmission wen out . I was never contacted or called or received any mail whatsoever now nissan says that i am out of luck and good luck i am out of a car that was giving me problems for over 2 years they refuse to help or do anything about the bad transmission

The floor mat of the driver side has two (2)plastics hooks to hold the mat in place. If the hooks are broken or missing the mat slice of the accelerator and brake paddle. If the mat is on top or bottom of the paddle, it interferes with the brake or accelerator. These are two (2) plastic hooks. I called the dealer and nissan does not offer these parts, the plastics hooks. The only offer the whole carpet with the hooks for $500 plus. This is absurd. This means that i need to pay $500 for two plastics hooks. Remember if this hooks are not holding the mat an incident can occur. In my opinion, this is a safety issue. Nissan should have this parts available or provide parts more durable, no plastic parts.

The problem in my car is ethier the transmission or transmission control module. The transmission started slipping and then suddenly on the hey of 395 north bound it simply just wouldn't do anything it had no reaction at all right in the middle of the freeway and there i was stuck people at 65-70 miles an hour whizzing by me not to mention simi trucks.Tge reason i am writing is i looked up the problem at it is a very common problem with this year and make of the car. I went to nissan here in reno nv and they will not honor the recall sayes it is because of a branded title. The car had been wrecked only damaging the front bumper. Nothing to the motor or transmission was rebuilt but because it had previously been turned in as an insurance claim nissan of reno will not honor the recall. Any damage that was done was cosmetic not to the motor or transmission. I would like to know if nissan should honor the recalls on my vehicle. It has 98,000 miles on it and falls under the 10 year under 120,000 miles. The service person i talked to treated me like i was dumb and pretty much pushed me out the door and told me that they don't have to honor it. I am tempted to get ahold of previous owner to see if his insurance claim had anything to do with this transmission issue. It has one complaint after another on youtube over this very issue. Please help me i don't know what to do. Thank you.

My cvt transmission went out on my vehicle which is 7 years old, and has 124,xxx miles on it. The more i read online that this issue is common, with significantly less miles on it. My car would often shake or vigorously vibrate, and had the transmission go out while driving on a busy highway.

I was driving about 30 miles/hour, there was a sound and the car shut down, engine stopped, lost power steering and brake became heavy, no lights in speedometer and indicators went off/black screen. Brakes were soft but i was able to stop. I restarted the engine and i was able to drive. Then i was on a freeway about 20 min later, driving 65 miles/hour and the car made a big noise, shook as if i drove on a pothole, and it was the same thing. No engine, accelerator didn't work, i was coasting, lost power steering, and hard to push down breaks. Power in the panels were off. I was able to use emergency signal, pulled over eventually and waited for about 3-4 min. Before restarting the car. It worked again and i was able to drive. The same thing happened last year, and today it happened twice. Both times, it was a hot day.

I later tried to call the warranty phone number back and it said nobody was available to take my call.

Transmission was replaced at 101000 miles, the new transmission failed at 109000 miles. Nissan will not repair it again. The first transmission had problems shifting to higher gears. The second transmission failed after backing out of my driveway. It would not move forward.
