• Recall 231909 [USA]: The attachment points may fail, allowing the bench seat to shift and increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
  Volvo trucks north america (volvo trucks) is recalling certain 2019-2024 vn and vhd vehicles. The passenger side bench seat may be inadequately attached to the floor. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard numbers 207, "seating systems" and 210, "seatbelt assembly anchorage."

• Recall 147356 [USA]: If the park brakes apply unexpectedly, the driver may lose control of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
  Volvo trucks north america (volvo trucks) is recalling 2021 vnl, vnr, vah, and vhd vehicles. The collets (internal jaws) for the brass fitting inserts used in the pneumatic pass-through plate may have been damaged during leak testing. As a result, the brass fitting may completely release the air brake line from the pass-through plate while under pressure. If this occurs on the park brake circuit, signal pressure that holds off the mechanical spring in the park brake chambers will be lost allowing the park brakes to apply.

The die cast pedal plate may break at one of its attachment points, possibly resulting in the brake pedal dislodging. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 121, "air brake systems."

  Issue: on certain trucks, the hubcaps may be defective and could come loose or detach while driving. Safety risk: a hubcap that detaches from the truck could create a road hazard for others. • Recall 2021120 [Canada]: Lights and instruments
  Issue: on certain trucks, when the manual override is used to switch off the daytime running lamps (drls), the lights may not turn on again when you start driving. Canadian regulations require that if drls are manually turned off, they must turn on again when you start driving. Safety risk: driving without daytime running lights could make the vehicle less visible to others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: volvo trucks will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to update the vehicle software.

  Issue: on certain trucks, the fittings for the air brake lines on the firewall pass-through plate may have been damaged during assembly. As a result, an air line could detach from the fitting. If this happens, the parking brake could apply without warning. Note: the service brakes are not affected by this problem. Safety risk: a parking brake that applies suddenly while driving could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: volvo trucks will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect the fittings on the pass-through plate. They will be repaired or replaced, as required.

  Issue: on a certain trucks, the steering kingpin nut may not have been properly installed and tightened. As a result, the steering knuckle could separate from the axle.
