To maintain customer up time as well as better understand the failure modes associated with
transmission cooler lines, DTNA is temporarily requesting voluntary photo attachments. The photos
will be forwarded to DTNA Warranty Engineers to assist with failure analysis and quality assurance.
In particular, DTNA seeks photos on claims for transmission cooler line assembly failures that result
in a transmission rebuild or replacement.
Effective March 30 through September 30, 2015, please provide associated transmission cooler line
photos showing the area of the leak at the time of claim submission.

Submission
Because service locations would supply transmission cooler line photos at DTNA’s request, the
Additional Attachments Standard Repair Time (SRT) described in Important Warranty Information
letter 13-033 can be applied to the claim prior to submission. This SRT, 939-6227B, adds 0.2 hours.
For questions regarding warrantability or claim submission, please submit a Warranty Support Center
(WSC) ticket.

DTNA Warranty Engineering has identified seven (7) potential transmission cooler leak areas, as
indicated in the graphic below, where having claim photos would be particularly beneficial:
• Fitting on cooler
• Rear crimp main line
• Jumper to cooler
• Fitting to transmission fitting
• Jumper to main line
• Fitting on transmission
• Forward crimp main line
