  • Recall 147797 [USA]: A brake fluid leak on the circuit board may result in an electrical short, increasing the risk of a fire.
    Nissan north america, inc. (nissan) is recalling certain 2015-2018 nissan murano, 2016-2018 nissan maxima, and 2017-2019 nissan pathfinder and infiniti qx60 vehicles. These vehicles were previously recalled and unrepaired, or inspected and determined to not need a repair, under recall number 18v-601. In addition, this recall expands the previous population. The anti-lock brake system (abs) actuator pumps may allow brake fluid to leak onto an internal circuit board.
    nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the abs actuator, free of charge. Owners will receive a second notice when remedy parts become available, currently expected to be during summer 2020. Owners may contact nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Note: if the abs warning light remains illuminated for more than 10 seconds after engine start up, owners are advised to park the vehicle outdoors away from other vehicles or structures and to not drive the vehicle.

  • Recall 120469 [USA]: A brake fluid leak onto the circuit board may result in an electrical short, increasing the risk of a fire.
    Nissan north america, inc. (nissan) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 nissan maxima vehicles manufactured february 10, 2015, to august 19, 2016 and equipped with intelligent cruise control, 2015-2017 murano vehicles manufactured august 22, 2014, to august 19, 2016 and equipped with intelligent cruise control, and 2015-2016 murano hybrid vehicles manufactured august 22, 2014, to july 19, 2016. The affected vehicles have anti-lock brake (abs) actuator pumps that may allow brake fluid to leak onto an internal electrical circuit board.
    nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the abs actuator, replacing it as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on december 12, 2016. Owners may contact nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261. Note: when brake fluid has leaked onto the circuit board, the abs warning lamp will remain illuminated for more than 10 seconds after engine start up. If this occurs, owners are advised to park the vehicle outdoors away from other vehicles or structures and to not drive the vehicle.

  • Recall 2019567 [Canada]: Brakes
    Issue: on certain vehicles, the antilock brake system (abs) actuator pump may leak brake fluid and malfunction. This would cause the abs warning lamp to turn on. If this problem is not fixed, damage to the abs actuator could result in a short circuit. Note: this is a replacement and expansion of transport canada recall 2018-486. All vehicles that did not have the abs actuator pump replaced under that recall require this repair. Safety risk: a short circuit could increase the risk of a fire, even while parked. Corrective actions: the company will notify owners by mail with an interim notice. A final repair is not yet available. If the abs warning light stays on for 10 seconds or longer, you should park your vehicle outdoors away from other vehicles or structures. You should also call nissan or infiniti roadside assistance to have your vehicle towed to a dealer for repair. A second notice will be sent to you once the final repair parts are available. This letter will advise you to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the abs actuator.

  • Recall 2018486 [Canada]: Brakes
    On certain vehicles, the antilock brake system (abs) actuator pump may leak brake fluid onto an electronic circuit board, causing it to malfunction. This would cause the illumination of the abs warning lamp on the instrument panel. If the vehicle continues to be operated, damage to the abs module could lead to a fire, creating a risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will inspect and replace the abs actuator as necessary. Note: this replaces recall 2016-424. Vehicles repaired under that campaign require a second repair under this campaign.

  • Recall 2016424 [Canada]: Brakes
    Certain vehicles equipped with intelligent cruise control may have abs actuators that may have been manufactured out of specification. This could cause the abs actuator pump seal to leak brake fluid. This would cause the abs warning light to illuminate, and if ignored, and the vehicle continues to be operated in this condition, the brake fluid leak could create an electrical short in the actuator circuit. This could lead to a fire, which could increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will inspect the abs actuator, and will replace as necessary.

Cvt transmission stops accelerating at some point after driving. Rpms don’t increase and vehicle struggles to maintain speed. Speed only increases or decreases due to incline or decline of the road. It’s dangerous as it mostly occurs on freeways/highways. Problem has been happening for 2+ years. Dealer cannot confirm as no check engine light code is created and problem ceases to exist only after engine is turned off. Vehicle is available to be inspected.

At random times while driving the forward collision warning system and cruise control will stop working. On average it happens about every 20 to 25 miles and remains off for 2 to 3 minutes. It does not occur at regular intervals though, this is just the average. It was very difficult to get nissan to replace the sensor while the car was under warranty. They did not want to and finally when they agreed they said the part was on back order due to high demand so i'm not the only customer who has complained about this. The sensor still does not work properly and having the forward collision warning/automatic braking not reliable is a safety issue. Having the cruise control not work is just an annoyance. At nissan's suggestions, i've cleaned the sensor many times and i've ensured that nothing is blocking the sensor. It is simply a faulty, unreliable part and i believe there should be a national recall. This has been happening for over 2 years now. It took many months of complaining and sending them pictures of it not working before they replaced the sensor the first time. That fixed the issue for a few months but now the second sensor on the car has been malfunctioning for over a year. I'm attaching a couple of pictures for example. This issue has happened over a 100 times to me though.

On 02/09/2021 approximately 8pm, arrived to my destination, turned car off, went inside. Approximately 1.5 hours later (9:30pm) went back to my car to bring my suitcase and pillow in. When i removed my pillow from the back passenger side seat, noticed the big scorched area and the seams were bright red, the seat was burning hot to touch. Burning smell was noted, and the seat switch was still on though the car was off over a hour. The other seats were normal ( cool ) to touch. I immediately disconnected the battery cables and stayed by the car making sure the seat area cooled to normal. Note.....My pillow was scorched too. The car is a 2017 nissan murano, bought it new.

I have had many issues with dealership before and going back at the time to get fixed was inconvenient, i did not know the possible consequences of issues. I took car back in today for service and the service advisor told me i had 2 broken wheel studs, this could have caused my tire to fall off. In the repair paperwork, they only wrote they replaced lug nuts. I was given a case number i have since move my car parked in front of the house phone on the street because we do have oxygen in the house for my mother whose on hospice and i'm on disability. 'during the time of 1st visit/maintenance, customer rep said there system was down and i should get back to them. '2nd visit/maintenance, customer rep said, they have other customers with same problem and replacing the sensor unit does not solve it, and they are currently looking for a resolution, and will keep in touch once they have the solution. '3rd visit, they did some tests and confirmed my complains, however, customer rep said they have no records of my complains and the reason why my front radar sensor is not working is due to the incurred damages on my front bumper ( from on street parking). And customer rep said i have to pay for the repair/replacement of the sensor for $1400. Seen a lot of same complains on forum with the same dilemma.

The backup camera is showing the red, green and yellow guide lines but the screen is black. It is not returning any images from behind the vehicle. The vehicle was at home in a parking spot when this occurred. One week later to today, january 28,2020, the backup camera is still not functioning properly. It did work for a few days on its own without being repaired after january 22,2020 and then stopped working again. It seem to be working off and on and i do not know what is causing it. When i contacted nissan, my vehicle millage was at 36,099. Nissan of coral springs florida stated that the warranty expired at 36,000 and will not honor my vehicle. I am a mother of two young children and do not feel comfortable reversing in my nissan because looking through the back or rear glass of the nissan murano is very difficult due to its design.

The abs light, crash sensor light and traction control light will come on intermittently while the car is on. The three lights will come on at the same time, and will remain on until the vehicle is turned off. The lights do not come on each time the car is started, and when they do come on, it is not only at the time of start up. They usually come on at least once a day. They have come on when the vehicle is stopped, starting up from a red light, while driving (various speeds), etc. There is no rhyme or reason as to when the lights come on. When the lights are on, nothing else is going on with the car--only normal usage--no weird sounds, feelings, etc. The car has been at the dealership for the past 2 months. Per the dealership, the abs sensors, the speed control sensors and the actuator have all been replaced, but the lights still present themselves. Nissan technicians have advised that they will need to bring a nissan engineer to help them with the issue. The car is not even 2 years old and has 19k miles on it. This is not an issue that i should be dealing with and it needs to be corrected permanently so it is not a recurring issue.

While driving with the cruise control engaged on my 2017 nissan murano, a message appears on dash: unavailable front radar obstruction. The cruise control disengages at that point, requiring the driver to use the accelerator. At that point, i think the automatic braking is also disabled. The car currently has about 38000 miles on it and is 2 years old. The frequency of the problem has increased over time. I checked to make sure the sensor at the front bumper is clean. This error will happen on days with no rain or snow. At first, it errored when exiting a tunnel, but now it occurs randomly (but so far only when using cruise control). Since it is over the 36000 mile warranty, nissan requires a diagnosis from the dealer. This is a safety problem that should have a recall. I also recently rented a 2018 nissan altima while on vacation, and it was really bad. It errored about every 5 minutes, even without cruise control. Nissan has a recall for the rogue model. According to information on the internet, the problem is a sensor manufactured by bosch.

Local nissan dealership is putting up barriers to my recall repair. On 2 different occasions, i was told that 'we don't do recall repairs on the weekend'. I don't understand why their labor costs on the weekend are my problem. I called on a monday morning when i was on vacation from work. Not only could the service manager not confirm for me whether they had the necessary parts on hand to repair my recall...She also said they only do it by appointment and need 1 weeks notice!! So i am being expected to bring my car in twice (once for them to 'look at it and confirm i'm on the recall list, and a 2nd time to get the repair done). How is it that the manufacturer makes a defective product, yet i am expected to jump through all these hoops, take time off of work (vacation time) to meet all of their terms of fixing a mistake that nissan made. But hey, they were sure to get those notices mailed out super fast, to give me the impression they cared about my spouses life/death risk every day when she drives a flawed product to/from work. So unaccommodating and arrogant of nissan to put their customers through this gauntlet.

Vehicle has 35,700 miles on it. Bought the vehicle june of 2018 with 30,000 miles on it. While driving 55 mph or faster and you go and try to pass slower traffic whether it's on the highway or freeway and you turn the wheel to change lanes while pressing down on the accelerator to speed up, the transmission does not down shift and speed up. The rpm gauge increases and the engine revs high but the vehicle does not increase in speed. After you straighten out the steering wheel the vehicle all of a sudden down shifts and takes off. It is dangerous for people pulling out into traffic to pass cause the vehicle will not increase in speed and it leaves you tooling along in oncoming traffic. It is under factory warranty and i took vehicle into the nissan dealership. I was told everything was fine and there wasn't anything that could be done because there wasn't any trouble codes stored in the vehicles system. It does this at least once per month and no trouble lights come on inside the vehicle. I have made multiple complaints to the dealer about this and nothing has come of it. I have made multiple inquiries about this online to nissan directly and vehicle mechanic type sites. I haven't heard anything back from nissan themselves but other mechanic type sites have come to the same conclusion, it has to be the a computer module or traffic control system. Something to do with the computer system or modules themselves. No trouble codes therefore nothing is wrong, is nissan's stance. For what i have read, other people have had similar problems with this cvt transmissions. This has been an ongoing problem for me and my family and nissan has not been any help, which surprises me. This is a safety issue. If you pull out to pass in oncoming traffic and the vehicle won't accelerate it is dangerous. If you pull into.The left lane on the freeway to pass and can't, it is dangerous!

While driving about 15 - 20 mph on a city street, the automatic emergency braking system activated for no apparent reason. There was a 3 beep warning then the car stopped abruptly. The dealer, central avenue nissan in yonkers, ny. Checked the system and received code C1B55 (elsewhere in the report cited, C1355), radar blockage, (stored past code). The technician attributed this to "side radar blockage" they checked the area of the sensor and found no debris. Nissan service was not clear why a false side radar blockage warning should trigger abrupt braking. Also, they didn't actually fix any problem. The report is available if requested and contains supplementary information from the service diagnostics not generally shown to the customer.

While accelerating mixed between pulling from zero mph upwards of 40mph the vehicle has a high pitched squealing sound. This happens on any roadway while the car is in motion. It does not happen when the brakes are being used, only while accelerating and pushing the throttle. My transmission will sometimes hesitate or 'think' when shifting from reverse to another gear. Sometimes it is very loud was a large 'thunk' sound coming from underneath the car. The car also seems to make a whining noise when shifting out of different gates. (park, reverse, drive, etc) i have had the dealership check multiple times and they say it is normal operation. I've taken out other nissan murano's in the same model and it does not do this.

Driving down an open paved county road, driving straight at around 60 mpg. No cars in sight, no trees or building near the road and we heard what sounded like a gunshot inside the vehicle. We looked around and couldn't tell what happened. I looked up and there was a hole in the center of the moonroof then glass started falling. My kids in the backseat had more glass than the front. The glass that was remaining was curved up which seamed strange because no one touched the roof. We have a panoramic moonroof but it was only the movable piece exploded. Roof and windows were closed, it was 85 degrees outside and we had the air conditioning on. I called nissan and opened an incident and they denied any responsibility stating glass isn't covered and since there is no evidence showing it exploded and wasn't hit they are not liable. I have full coverage glass insurance so i wouldn't have to pay either way it is the point that this is not my fault and after looking at all of the same issues with these glass roofs it should be the responsibility of the car manufacturer.

I purchased a new 2017 nissan murano a couple of years ago. After 6 months of ownership, while in motion on any road or highway my car will beep and show "front radar unavailable due to obstruction". It then turns off my ability to have cruise control and removes aeb and feb features. After researching this issue, it looks like several nissan owners have had the same issue because of a faulty radar. Nissan replaced the radar once but that radar is now bad too. The aeb, feb, and cruise control will not work in my car. Nissan states they will not assist in replacing the radar again because they have replaced it before. This is a safety concern and needs to be addressed with a potential recall in my opinion.

Anti lock brake pump can leak break fluid onto circuit board causing an electrical short and cause a fire risk. Nissan recommends parking vehicles (in my case a murano platinum 2017) outside. If drivers see anti-lock brake warning for more than 10 sec after engine start, do not drive vehicle. Problem- my car vin did not come up on the recall so i never received the warning. I experienced an electrical fire under hood (passenger side) when car was off and parked inside my garage. We happen to be home and smell smoke. Called nissan corporate to urge the recall be issued again.

My car has a front emergency braking system. The sensor for this system is located at the front of the car, underneath one of the head lights. The sensor detects when a vehicle in front of you has stopped. As you get closer to the vehicle, if you do not stop, the car will sound a 3-beep alert notifying you to stop. If you still do not stop, the car will apply the brakes and force the car to stop to prevent an accident. One night, i was driving home on a city street, when the 3-beep alert sounded, and the dashboard display started flashing red and white lights. There was a message on the display stating that a crash was imminent. Then the brakes engaged suddenly, and the car almost came to a complete stop in the middle of the street. The brakes engaged so hard and so quickly, that it threw me forward in the seat. At the time, there was no car in front of me coming to a sudden stop and no crash was imminent. The closest car to me was 2-3 car lengths ahead, and it had not stopped. Thankfully, the street was not busy at the time, and there was no accident. Nissan is aware of this issue, and there are class action lawsuits, but nissan won't issue a recall. I've taken my car to 2 nissan dealerships and they won't replace the sensor. The first dealer told me my sensor was dirty, but that doesn't explain what happened. According to the owner's manual, if the sensor is dirty, there will be a message on the dashboard display indicating the sensor is obstructed, and the front braking system will turn off. That is not what happened to me. The second nissan dealer did a software update on my car and reset the sensor. I keep being told to bring the car back if the issue happens again, but this is not the kind of issue you want to wait to have happen again. What if i am on a busy street or the highway? I could have a serious accident. Please investigate this.

This happens arbitrarily and without prior warning regardless of day or night or weather conditions. The system will be operable again in 10 or 15 minutes. My car is still under warranty. I have no evidence nissan is really working on a solution. This is a safety issue because when the radar system stops the cruise control system shuts down and the car begins to decellerate. Within warranty time frame of vehicle - seatbelt fabric rolls inside of male sliding end mechanism on drivers side front seatbelt when pulled from the left over to the right and into the female end. Resulting in insufficient tightness across lap, and "stuck" fabric that needs to be manually unfolded and "unstuck" from within the male end sliding belt mechanism. Happens several times a day to multiple drivers. Does not occur in passenger side or rear seatbelts. Happens when putting seat belt on before driving. Have had it replaced, and checked three times at dealership, they could not duplicate issue. But it continues to occur daily. May be defective fabric or retractable mechanism?

When making sharp turn (left or right) into fast moving traffic and driving straight after the turn, while pushing accelerator pedal hard, the rpm will go up high but the speed will not (it will increase very slowly). The rpm would stay high (5000 to 6000) there will be lots of noise from the drive train but nothing will happen to lower the rpm. In order to make the cvt work properly after that, the accelerator pedal has to be fully released and the rpm will have to go down. I can replicate this condition most of the time (it depends on whether the accelerator pedal is pushed hard enough while turning), and it has been happening ever since purchase of this car. At the dealership garage i was told that since there is no fault code they can't help and refused to take a ride in the car.

This has happen numerous times, the transmission a cvt has big problems that has caused my wife and i great concern. When we go to take off and really have to step down on the peddle because of traffic flow. We have semi's traveling on our road and other roads, when this occurred the first time after purchasing the car we thought it was bad gas, but since then we have been in critical situations because the transmission is not working. The transmission in question is very unsafe in this vehicle it almost stops for a few seconds. We have seconds away from 18 wheelers crashing into us, or cars where you have to pull out in traffic. What bothers me is my wife drives this vehicle at least once a day. Sometimes with my daughter, and grandson. Where we live big trucks hauling wood to the paper mill have almost crashed into us on numerous occasions, same with cars.Some even showing road rage when my wife is minding her own business, and same with me. This problem has caused us to know that the transmission is doing this on a regular basis. When the car is in motion, we have even been put in the medium because of this cvt problem, and we believe by looking on the web now, and asking the mechanic we always use has said the same. We have had this car since july 2018. We know now it isn't bad gas, or the injectors needing clean, or the transmission oil needing change. We however know that with this safety problem it will be just a matter of time if not us but someone driving this type of vehicle will either get hurt, or may start causing people to die. We live right off of a two lane road, sometimes it is when we are pulling out, sometimes when we are going on the expressway way, sometimes when passing slower traffic, or on a city intersection. It acts at first like the engine is going to stall, seconds count in driving, we don't feel safe in this car anymore.

Key fobs and auto start doesn't always work. Murano will be parked and off and i walk up within 15 ft of the drivers side door and try to autostart and it consistently only works about 1 in 4 tries. Dealership has replaced both fobs and batteries and still not working every single time. Also, several times in the past year, i get in and place foot on brake and push button to start and it will not start, takes several attempts before the vehicle will start!!!

The camera on the front of my vehicle had to be replaced because it was damaged by something off the road cracking the lenses and, as a result, causing my cruise control not to function properly as well. I could not use my driving safety controls that controlled distances between vehicles also. This was a poor design flaw and was not covered under my original warranty period of 3 year/36000 miles. We have had the issue(s) fixed but there is nothing to prevent it from happening again. The car hood has a ridge that slopes toward the driver directly in front of the windshield wipers. The sun reflects directly into the driver when there is morning or afternoon sun and the sun visor cannot be positioned low enough to block the reflection. Took it back in several weeks later demanding they fix the problem. Took a test drive with the technician. Problem did not reoccur. I got out. The technician started the car to pull it in the shop and the warning came on. They traced the problem to a sensor. The sensor is not available and is on backorder. In the mean time the cruise does not operate and the front collision avoidance does not work (waiting 5 weeks now). Cannot depend upon the collision avoidance even though they advertise it.

I have a 2017 nissan murano. I was driving on a highway at approximately 12 in the afternoon when we heard a loud explosion on the roof of the car. The sunroof glass and headliner were both closed. I slightly opened the headliner and could see the glass was shattered. I immediately pulled over on the side of the highway and looked on top of the car to find the front section of the panoramic sunroof had completely exploded and was shatter. The glass was actually protruding upward so it was obvious nothing had falling from the sky on top of it. The glass, then gave way and completely fell on the fabric headliner. We then spent the next hour and a half on the side of the highway waiting for a tow truck where the vehicles was then towed to a nissan dealer. At the time of incident, it was 75 degrees outside and clear day. I was driving 55 miles per hour.

In 9000 miles, i've had this occur 3 times. Immediately after turning - straightening out, acceleration will not kick in. I see the rpms going up as i am hitting the gas, but the vehicle is not getting any power to the wheels - i was actually slowing down from my turn inertia. I had my car up to 5000 rpms, but i was still only going ~25-35 mph. Very dangerous if i pull into traffic. I had my vehicle looked at by the dealership, however since there were no codes, they could not find anything wrong. I am concerned about the glare from the hood that blinds me when i'm driving. When the sun shines on the hood it causes a glare that prevents the driver from seeing the road. This was the 3rd time it has happened . I decided to get another unbiased opinion from a non nissan dealer repair shop. They ordered a bracket from nissan and showed me that it was not bent that nissan has an issue with the crash sensor and is looking for any way to deny the repair. My car has a front emergency braking system. This system is located at the front of the car, in lower grille. The sensor detects when a vehicle in front of you has stopped. As you get closer to the vehicle, if you do not stop, the car will sound a 3-beep alert notifying you to stop. If you still do not stop, the car will apply the brakes and force the car to stop to prevent an accident., i was driving home, when the 3-beep alert sounded, and the dashboard display started flashing red and white lights. A message on the display stated that a crash was imminent. Then the brakes engaged suddenly, and the car almost came to a complete stop in the middle of the street. The brakes engaged so hard and so quickly, that it threw me forward in the seat. At the time, there was no car in front of me coming to a sudden stop and no crash was imminent. Nissan is aware of this issue, and there are class action lawsuits, but nissan won't issue a recall. I've taken my car to a nissan dealerships and they won't replace the sensor. The dealer told me my sensor bracket was slightly bent, but the vehile was bought new and never in an accedent i asked if the braket was installed form the factory slightly bent they said it could of been? This doesn't explain what happened. According to the owner's manual, if the sensor bracket was bent it should never of worked from the start??? , if this were the case, there will be a message on the dashboard display indicating the sensor is obstructed or not funtioning, and the front braking system will turn off. This was the 3rd time it has happened . I decided to get another unbiased opinion from a non nissan dealer repair shop. They ordered a bracket from nissan and showed me that it was not bent that nissan has an issue with the crash sensor and is looking for any way to deny the repair. The shop owner told me to call nssan and have a rep comeout

I purchased a new 2017.5 nissan murano oct 14 2017 one week later the srs light comes light comes on while driving and stays on. After three trips back and multiple parts replaced including sensor for seatbelt connector that was not attached properly and the replacement of the srs system. Today 97 days later i was told by my local nissan dealership that the vehicle was indeed defective at time of purchase. The factory had not connected the harness that connects to the airbags which was causing my srs light to come on continuously. I am very sad and upset that this has happened to me and i am in process of filing a claim with the nissan corporation consumer department for a buy back of my vehicle.

Rattling / vibrating noises interior left door / vent / dash at elevated temperatures. Nissan is aware of defective parts. 4 attempts were made to repair it and the problem still persists at external temperature above 90 degrees (florida summer). The noises occur while driving around 45 mph and are a major disatraction and safety issue.Driving in city streets. The noise is intermittent and according to the dealer nissan has previously issued an advisory (to dealers) with a fix. The "rubber band type fix" is temporary and the noises keep on occurring, intermittently after it is parked in open area for 1-2 hours and car is driven on city streets at around 45 mph. The noises are distraction and is a safety hazard. Nissan attempted fixing it 3 times, at first dismissed it stating cannot duplicate. Similar interior noises occur intermittently on the right side door and dash while drive at similar speeds.The external temperatures are above 90 and the ac is on at 72-75 degrees. I have video tape on iphone recording the sound, the file is too big to email or transfer to my laptop (i haven't figured it out as yet). It first happened in august 2017 and has continued. The problem gets worse with increasing external temperature. Work orders contains personal information and therefore not attached

The failure caused the vehicle to not accelerate for an extended period of time. The contact mentioned that the brake pedal needed to be depressed in order for the vehicle to operate. The vehicle was taken to dave smith nissan (6901 e sprague ave, spokane valley, wa 99212, (509) 309-8911) where they informed the contact that the vehicle was designed to operate in that manner. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provide case number: 37021429. Happens at least once a trip. The front radar, used for collision mitigation/intelligent cruise control, shuts off and reports obstruction for no apparent reason. This renders the safety systems useless.

Glare from the chrome area of the side air vents into the side view mirrors both driver and passenger side. The reflection from the chrome around the side air vents into the side view mirrors distorts the drivers vision on both mirrors. This is a definite safety hazard and nissan should correct the problem. It appears nissan has failed to correct this problem and that others have complained about this problem as well. I have had 3 other murano's and never had a problem until this model and year .

High pitch noise coming from wheel well with engine off or on. No indicator light showing issue. Opened and closed all doors did not stop. Could not determine when or why noise was occurring. After driving to dealer the high pitch whistle stopped. Dealer could not detect reason.

Hello, recently, i bought 2017 nissan murano platinum. After a month, i noticed that when i increase heated seat temperature to maximum, one half(right) side of front seat heating is very high and other half act not even 50%. I called nissan dealer locally to look and investigate heating distribution issue. On the same time i called nissan customer care and explain situation. I was told by customer care to report findings back to them based on dealership response. Dealership responded it is just a way design by nissan for all murano, there is nothing can be done. It's just a way it is. I feel helpless by nissan overall experience. Nissan should be able to step up and looking into this issue to make sure heated seal heat distribution should be uniform, not like one half of seal get very high compare to other half. This is very poor design with respect to heated seat safety.
