• Recall 66176 [USA]: Pin-holing of the pas pipes could allow pressurized power steering fluid to leak into the under-hood and engine bay area. a loss of power steering fluid will result in a loss of power assist steering. also, that fluid may ignite if it comes into contact with an ignition source or a surface at sufficiently high enough temperature, causing a vehicle fire.
  Jaguar is recalling certain model year 2010 xk and xf vehicles manufactured from june 27, 2009, through march 10, 2010. The power assist steering (pas) pipes have been supplied with zinc-nickel plating that does not meet fully the corrosion protection requirements of jaguar's engineering specification. After an extended period of time in service, corrosion of the pas pipes will occur that may lead to pin-holing of the pipe.

• Recall 67999 [USA]: Customers may inflate tires to an incorrect pressure due to this tire pressure mislabeling. failure to inflate tires to the correct pressures can lead to loss of vehicle stability and increase the risk of a crash.
  Jaguar is recalling 34 model year 2010 xf vehicles for failing to conform to the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 110, "tire selection and rims." the recommended tire pressure on the tire placard label does not correspond with the tires fitted to the vehicle.

If a crack is present customers are most likely to detect fuel odour when the vehicle is static from the outside of the vehicle. However in extreme circumstances there could be a pool of fuel underneath the rear of the vehicle which in the presence of an ignition source could lead to a fire.

• Recall 2018009 [Canada]: Airbag
  On certain vehicles, long-term exposure to high absolute humidity and temperature, combined with high temperature cycling, could eventually degrade the propellant contained in the passenger frontal airbag. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. As a result, if the vehicle were involved in a collision that warrants airbag deployment, fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants, and the airbag assembly could be damaged, preventing proper function. These issues could increase the risk of injury. Correction: dealers will replace the passenger frontal airbag module. Note: canadian climate results in the propellant degrading slowly. The recall is being conducted as a precaution to address future risk, and is expected to replace the passenger frontal airbag module before their function would be affected.

• Recall 2009310 [Canada]: Fuel supply
  On certain vehicles, the fuel transfer pipe in the fuel tank assembly may have been kinked or over inserted into the fuel delivery module during fuel tank assembly. This could cause the vehicle to experience fuel starvation whilst indicating the presence of approximately ¼ tank of fuel on the fuel gauge. Engine stalling would result in lost propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash. Correction: dealers will remove the fuel transfer pipe from the fuel delivery module, reduce the length of the pipe by 6 inches (150mm) and discard the excess pipe. The fuel transfer pipe will then be inserted into an alternative hole on top of the fuel delivery module to prevent over insertion and the tank re-assembled.

• Fuel tank flange leak investigation # RQ19004

  In october 2012, jaguar land rover llc (jlr) submitted a defect information report (dir) to nhtsa describing a defect condition that could result in pressurized fuel leaks around the fuel supply line connection on the upper surface of the fuel tank assemblies of approximately 4,152 model year (my) 2010 jaguar xf vehicles equipped with 5.0l engines and manufactured between april 2009 and january 2010 (recall 12v-521). The dir indicated that the fuel system operating pressures of 5.0l gasoline engine xf vehicles may exceed the design specification under certain conditions, which may result in cracks in the fuel tank outlet flange. In january 2010, jlr changed the design of the tank outlet flange from the original version with no internal ribs, part number 9x23-9a309-ac (“ac flange”), to a revised part with internal ribbing reinforcing the area of the flange at the base of the fuel supply port where the cracks were occurring (“ad flange”). The scope of 12v-521 included 43 my 2011-2012 xf vehicles with 5.0l engines that were equipped with the ac flanges as service replacement parts. In addition, in march 2016, jlr recalled 28 additional my 2010 xf vehicles built with 5.0l engines and ac flanges that were inadvertently excluded from 12v-521 (recall 16v-187). The ad flange was later replaced in production by the ae flange, which had internal ribbing like the ad flange and was used by jlr as the remedy part for 12v-521 and 16v-187. All the subject fuel tank flanges (ac, ad & ae) were supplied to jlr by continental ag (now vitesco technologies). By october 2019, jlr had completed the recall remedies for 12v-521 and 16v-187 in 4,080 vehicles, resulting in an overall completion rate of 97 percent.On june 28, 2019, odi opened rq19-004 to investigate the scope and remedy for recalls 12v-521 and 16v-187, based on 30 complaints alleging fuel odor or leakage from the tank flange, including 19 in my 2010 xf 4.2l vehicles equipped with the ac flange and 11 in my 2010 through 2012 xf 5.0l vehicles equipped with revised flanges (ad/ae flanges) either as original equipment or as remedy parts under the subject recalls.Odi’s analysis of field data gathered under rq19-004 identified a total of 51 complaints and field reports and 272 warranty claims related to fuel leakage from cracked flanges in the subject vehicles. Thirty-three (33) of the complaints and field reports and 200 of the warranty claims involved my 2010 xf 4.2l equipped with the unreinforced ac flange, resulting in a complaint rate of 11.4 incidents per thousand vehicles (iptv) and a claim rate of 6.9 percent. Twelve (12) of the complaints and field reports and 61 of the warranty claims involved my 2010 – 2012 xf 5.0l vehicles equipped with ad/ae flanges as original equipment parts, resulting in a complaint rate of 0.8 iptv and a claim rate of 0.4 percent. Six (6) of the complaints and 11 of the warranty claims involved vehicles remedied under 12v-521 or 16v-187, resulting in a complaint rate of 1.5 iptv and a claim rate of 0.3 percent.On february 13, 2020, jlr notified nhtsa that it was recalling approximately 2,907 model year my 2010 jaguar xf vehicles equipped with 4.2l engines and the ac flange to remedy a fuel tank flange cracking defect (recall 20v-081). With this recall, there are no remaining products equipped with the unreinforced ac flange that are not under recall. Like the prior recalls, the remedy for 20v-081 involves replacing the ac flange with a modified part with the internal ribbing reinforcement (ae flange).Odis analysis indicates that recall 20v-081 addresses the scope concerns with tank flange cracking in the subject vehicles. Based on this analysis, this investigation is closed. The closing of this investigation does not foreclose the agency from taking further action if warranted or the potential for a future finding that a safety-related defect exists based upon additional information the agency may receive.

When you slow down, the vehicle cuts off completely. When you turn the car on, it's almost as if the gas is not traveling somewhere and causes it to take a while. Having it cut off on the highway is a very scary thing. I see recalls yet they're acting as if my vehicle is not affected by it.

1. Speed control (motion): cruise control continually shuts off while traveling at highway speeds and hits road patches/bumps. This has happened since i purchased the car new; 2. Leather on dashboard (stationary & motion): car is garaged in ny, meticulously maintained and used occasionally, yet the leather on the dashboard warped/rippled -- not a good look for a jaguar; recently, i spent almost $ 1,000 for windshield had to be removed/replaced to repair. Now looks worn, though signs of wear remain; 3. Usb & communication components in middle dash dept (stationary and motion): these systems failed few weeks after warranty expired. In these days, very important to be able to use, but jaguar dealer said very expensive to repair. 4. Sunroof gasket (stationary & motion): gasket started failing few years ago, but finally reached extent requiring replacement. My professional upholstery repair provider reported the repair required an entire sunroof system replacement ($1,000), which is very non-sensible. They installed incorrectly and now sunroof will not close while driving, but rather emits loud "fluttering" sound and shakes the vehicle; 5. Windows (motion): as you are aware i'm sure, opening partial rear windows induces violent shaking throughout vehicle. This issue present in original design of vehicle. 6. Running lights (motion): this vehicle was designed with no running lights, so i tried to find garage to install, for safety reasons. Jaguar service repair providers and others said vehicle design prohibits ability to install running lights. 7. Horn (stationary and motion): i'm simply pointing to fact that this beautiful car roars like a lion, yet has wimpy horn sound!

The vehcile was taken to jaguar honolulu (888 kapiolani blvd, honolulu, hi 96813, (808) 592-5108) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the fuel flange and gasket needed to be replaced. When my car started up i notice that the screen on the stereo system was just flashing and never came on also the car started over heating and check engine light came on also there is has leaking from the right rear passenger side door below car is in the shop now with $2,745 dollars worth of work being done to it

My vehicle which was stationary began to leak fuel after trying to start the car. There was no leak prior to attempting to start the car nor was there any physical damage or collision to the area.
