The rcm signal wire for the right hand c pillar impact sensor is wired to the left hand c pillar impact sensor and vice versa. In the event of a collision requiring the supplementary restraint system (srs) to deploy the curtain airbags they may not deploy or deploy later than design intent which can lead to increased injuries to the rear outboard seat occupant.

  The under bonnet low pressure fuel feed hose may detach from the fuel filter. A fuel smell may be noticed due to fuel leaking into the engine bay and in the event of hose detachment the engine will cut out. Once the engine has cut out the brake vacuum reservoir will be depleted after 2-3 brake pedal depressions and the vehicle will lose brake power assistance however foundation brakes continue to operate. The engine cannot be re-started. Engine cut out with minimal warning could potentially cause a crash.

  On certain vehicles, long-term exposure to high absolute humidity and temperature, combined with high temperature cycling, could eventually degrade the propellant contained in the passenger frontal airbag. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. As a result, if the vehicle were involved in a collision that warrants airbag deployment, fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants, and the airbag assembly could be damaged, preventing proper function. These issues could increase the risk of injury. Correction: dealers will replace the passenger frontal airbag module. Note: canadian climate results in the propellant degrading slowly. The recall is being conducted as a precaution to address future risk, and is expected to replace the passenger frontal airbag module before their function would be affected.

• Loss of brake power assist investigation # EA20001

  On december 1, 2018, the office of defects investigation (odi) opened preliminary evaluation pe18-014 to investigate allegations of brake vacuum pump failure in model year (my) 2012 through 2014 range rover evoque vehicles. To date, odi has received 7 reports which allege vacuum pump failure while driving, resulting in a loss of power assisted braking. Additionally, in response to odis information request (ir) for pe18-014, jaguar land rover (jlr) provided odi with 26 complaints and field reports related to the alleged defect. All the complaints and field reports identified by odi involved my 2012-2013 range rover evoque vehicles. Odis analysis of warranty data supplied by jlr identified 198 claims related to the alleged defect in my 2012-2013 vehicles, resulting in a claim rate of 0.84 percent. Odi identified just 6 claims in the my 2014 range rover evoque vehicles, resulting in a claim rate of 0.09 percent. The subject vehicles are equipped with 2.0 liter gasoline turbocharged direct injection (gtdi) engines that utilize a mechanically driven single vane rotary vacuum pump supplied by magna international (magna). The 2.0l gtdi engines and subject magna vacuum pumps were used by jlr in the following applications: my 2012-2017 land rover range rover evoque (l538), my 2013-2015 land rover lr2 (l359), my 2015-2017 land rover discovery sport (l550), my 2013-2015 jaguar xf (x250), and my 2017 jaguar xe (x760). Field return analyses of failed vacuum pumps from these products has determined that the failures were caused by blockage of the orifice supplying lubricating oil to the pump. Magna and jlr have attributed the blockage to oil "sludge" resulting from failure to perform oil changes at the specified maintenance intervals.This investigation has been upgraded to an engineering analysis (ea) covering the my 2012-2013 range rover evoque vehicles (subject vehicles). Other jlr products equipped with 2.0l gtdi engines and subject magna vacuum pumps will be included in the ea as peer vehicles. The ea will further assess the causes of pump failures in the subject and peer vehicles, the frequency and trends of pump failures in each population, the reasons for differences in experience between subject and peer vehicle applications, and the effects of pump failure on brake system performance in the subject vehicles.The voqs associated with the opening of this investigation are: 10986358, 11025409, 11083348, 11131896, 11149724, 11231234, 11343256.

At only 70,000 miles on my jaguar i am told that i need a while differential that is 3800.00 this is a common complain with jaguar owners . This is something that needs to be recalled as this is unsafe'

I was driving my 2015 jaguar xf on 290 east bound in worcester ma when the vehicle lost power and broke down on the side of the highway barely in break down lane. It broke down due to oil leaking on the alternator which caused it to fail and the vehicle to break down. The oil leak was caused by a faulty gasket. I complained to jaguar corporate and they will not do anything about it even though this gasket is known to go in the jaguars and land rovers. I called aaa and they had to call an officer do the location of my vehicle. This should absolutely be a recall for this gasket. This is roughly a 2 to 3 thousand repair due to half the engine has to come apart. My father and i could of gotten killed do this happening. I have owned this vehicle for a year and 3 months and i have only put 13k miles on the vehicle. I have only had to do the oil change and rear brake pads. They told me they cannot do anything because they do know who worked on it. I work in service at a bmw dealership and my manager told me he would of good willed the problem. I have had only certified technicians work on the vehicle. Jaguar/land rover should have this either be a recall or at least a bulletin the fact that it caused a perfectly good alternator to go and cause my vehicle to break down on a major highway and could of gotten us killed is unacceptable. I would really appreciate if something could be done about this and since jaguar refused to help me out at all. I look forward to hearing back. Thank you.

The vehicle was taken to paretti jaguar land rover baton rouge (13934 airline hwy, baton rouge, la 70817, (225) 756-5247) where it was diagnosed with needing the door window switch, front and rear window switch pack, aux trunk release, cruise control, steering wheel, air condition and radio controls, transmission controls, and facia switch pack to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The manufacturer offered a discount for the repairs. The failure mileage was approximately 20,753.

I was driving down the highway and noticed my car did not want to pull when i sped up. A few more miles down the road i noticed smoke coming from my tail pipe and the my air vents. So i pulled over, got out, and walked around to the front of the car and noticed what looked like oil on the side of my car. By this time fire started coming from under the hood. Within minutes my car was blazing and a total loss. What happened to my car? That's what i really want to know. How does a 2015 jaguar with only 36,000 catch and fire and burn up.

There was a fuel leak caused by a wire containing a hole in the front of the vehicle causing the car to smell like gasoline when sitting inside. Possibly, caused by the top of the car rubbing against the wire, due to insufficient clearance. Service advisor mentioned that this was not due to the owner/driver's fault and it makes the car unsafe to drive due to possibility of a fire. There have been a few recalls by jaguar concerning this exact issue, but jaguar says my car is not included simply because my vin does not match.
