  Jaguar land rover north america, llc. (jaguar) is recalling certain 2019 i-pace vehicles. The high-voltage battery may overheat.
  the remedy is currently under development. Owners are advised to park and charge their vehicles outside and away from structures, and to only charge their vehicles to a maximum 75% state of charge until the recall repair is complete. An interim notice has been sent to owners on april 24, 2024. A second notice will be sent to owners once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact jaguar's customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is h484. These vehicles were previously recalled under 23v-369 and will need to have the new remedy completed.

  Jaguar land rover north america, llc (jaguar) is recalling certain 2019-2020 jaguar i-pace vehicles. The fasteners that secure the battery module to the busbars may not have been tightened securely, which can cause electrical arcing at the busbars.

• Recall 152728 [USA]: A delay in deceleration, increases the distance needed to stop and the risk of a crash.
  Jaguar land rover north america, llc (jaguar) is recalling certain 2019-2020 i-pace vehicles. If the electrical regenerative brake system fails, there will be an increased delay between when the driver brakes and when the vehicle decelerates. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 135, "light vehicle brake systems."

• Pedestrian alert sounds investigation # DP22005

  Nhtsa received a petition on or about july 18, 2022, requesting that federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) 141 be applied to all electric and hybrid vehicles operating in the united states. The petition can be reviewed at nhtsa.Gov under odi number 11486072.Fmvss 141 establishes performance requirements for pedestrian alert sounds for motor vehicles. The standard applies to hybrid and electric vehicles that have a gross vehicle weight rating of 4,536 kg or less or are defined as low-speed vehicles. The standard became fully applicable to all such vehicles manufactured on or after march 1, 2021.The petitioner asserts that hybrid and electric vehicles to which the standard does not apply should be found to contain a safety defect. In support of the petition, the petitioner includes findings contained in a bill introduced in the house of representatives in 2009, the pedestrian safety enhancement act of 2009, h.R. 734, 111th cong. (2009). A related bill, the pedestrian safety enhancement act of 2010, became law in january 2011 (pub. L. 111-373). The petitioner requests that nhtsa require all electric and hybrid vehicles comply with fmvss 141, regardless of production date.The defect petition has been opened to evaluate the issue and determine whether to grant or deny the petition.The associated product list is not exhaustive and may contain vehicles that are equipped with pedestrian alert sounds.

Brakes failed, and battery died at full speed in a 35 mile zone, luckily slight up slope and car came to a halt. Complete battery and brake failure, the whole system shut down. No answers from jaguar, just a battery replacement. Again, brakes failed at full speed!

As we were on our way to jaguar dealership, oddly enough, after we received an update 2 days ago, the front collision alarms go off with no vehicle in front or side of the vehicle. It did this 3 times just on the way to dealership. The vehicle was in motion on the city road . No other vehicles near vehicle to the front back or sides.

Upon driving out of our house to take kids to school there was an error message on display. Prior to this an update was done to the vehicle. Prior to update the vehicle charged battery with a range of 234. After the 'update' was done 2 days ago the battery did not fully charge despite being on a supercharger over 12 hours. The car charged only to about 160 and then displayed this message on the display : vehicle not fully charged. Power cut detected.

The rear traffic sensors not working has happened multiple times and once, it showed all clear and then suddenly a car appeared in the backup camera. Sensors never went off and if i wasn't paying attention, an accident would have occurred. Blind spot monitoring has the exact same challenge multiple times when on the highway and is very unreliable. Of course that's true for almost the entire electrical system in this vehicle.
